Minimal assembly and great power even on the lowest setting. It got out even the thickest moss in my front yard. The lowest setting makes nice grooves in the dirt so new grass seeds have a place to settle in. It was not in the product description, but it came with a set of replacement tines, as well.

Better than expected

In the past have hand raked our lawn before overseeding, but we are no longer able to do that much work and decided to try the dethatcher. We were wonderfully surprised at how at the ease of use and how well it worked. Pulled up a lot of dead grass that had to be raked up but that is something we are able to do.

While I will not use this tool like the other greenworks lawn tools I use it worked well in dethatching the dead grass in my yard. It was easy for the most part to put together and while a corded tool is not as easy to use as a battery one I was able to dethatch my large lawn and get the dead grass areas cleaned up.

Quite pleased with unit. Works well but struggles at certain times. Nonetheless I am quite pleased with it and would purchase again. Easier and cheaper to use than a gasoline powered model. Works much better than the dethatcher I had which simply attached to the back of my riding mower

It does take time to get used to having a cord attach to your tool, we suggest keeping the electric cord as close to the outlet as you can and then move away from the outlet, so the slack always stay on the side you are moving away from or put the cord over your shoulder. That way it is always behind you while using the dethatcher but over time it will get easier to manage.
