I have done 5 treatments on my chin hair and armpits and it WORKS!! I have barely any hair growing in my armpits anymore and chin hair is so much thinner or not growing at all. Started on my legs and already see results also. The photo I’m attaching is post 5 days shaving armpits.

I was a little skeptical about how well this might work, but I have to say I am shocked at the results. I had a fairly heavy growth of very dark whiskers on my chin and jawline area. I was most concerned with the fact that even if closely shaved, the dark roots/stubble was still visible as a multitude of black dots. So I took a chance on the Silk-expert Pro 5 and am so glad I did! After only 7 treatments, about 75% of the dark hair is gone! Just gone! It has worked well beyond my expectations.

I was so skeptical that this would actually work but was willing to give it a try. I wanted to try 3 areas - face, underarm, and legs. I stopped all epilating and waxing a month before trying and only used shaving for hair removal while using the IPL.
Face - Due to hormonal imbalances, my upper lip and chin were getting some thick dark hair growth. This is where the IPL was the least successful. I didn’t notice any improvement after the 12 week period. 0/5 stars
Underarm - after about 6 weeks I didn’t see any improvement. By 10 weeks I started noticing patchiness and some reduced growth. I decided to stick with the weekly treatment past the recommended 12 weeks and I am definitely seeing some results but slowly. 2.5/5 stars
Legs - This is where I was blown away. I have dark hair and normally can’t go 2 days without getting noticeable stubble so I was skeptical. At 6 weeks I wasn’t sure I was noticing much difference. By 12 weeks I was able to go over a week without shaving and only had a few patches that needed touch ups. I am now doing maintenance and touching up with a razor here and there. 5/5 stars.

Great results

I started using it in November. My hair grows fast so I used it every 5 days on my face, arms, legs and bikini line. I am amazed with the results over 2 months. Still dealing with a few stubborn hairs here and there, but can’t believe it’s this effective after 2 months. Wish this product was available 10 years ago before some of my dark hair turned white! I definitely recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has done professional laser treatments, I was expecting results to be middling ... at best. And boy was I wrong. I've been using this on my legs and underarms and have seen great results. It does require consistency - but once you do 1-2 treatments you really see the results and I'd argue that it doesn't take that much time.
Only caveat here is that I have the perfect skin/hair combo for this to work (pale skin, dark hair) - but would expect you'd get similar results if you had the same.

I bought this only 3 weeks ago and I'm already seeing results! I've struggled with ingrown hairs and razor burn for years and nothing seemed to help. I read the amazing reviews and thought I'd give it a try and I've not been disappointed! Super excited to keep using it and seeing results!

Bear in mind that this product is not repairable!

While it works, it works OK. But if it breaks after the warranty (mine broke after 2,5 years) the official repair service will inform you that this device is not repairable no matter what. So in the end you are with an expensive electrotrash. There is NO INFORMATION to be found that this product is not repairable - shame on you Braun.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Noticeable decrease in hair growth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to get laser hair removal, so I was so excited to try this product. It's so much more convenient to do it at home, plus I'll have it for touch-ups later on, as needed. I was nervous about the pain factor, but it's not as bad as I expected. It even has 3 levels so that you can decrease the intensity for more sensitive areas. After just a few weeks of use, I've definitely noticed a decrease in the hair growing back. I'm very pleased and will continue to use it.
