Venus Silk Hair Removal-I hope it works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Gillette Venus Silk-expert free from Braun in exchange for my honest opinion. I tried this on my left leg and left armpit to see if after 12 weeks, I can see a difference between my left and right sides. The instructions were easy to understand and the device was fairly easy to use. It was easy to glide up the side of my calf. However, when I was trying it on my shin, I had to turn the device and use the precision setting. It didn't hurt on my legs and I only have a few red bumps on my upper thigh. They went away after 10 minutes. It did startle me in my armpit and stung for a few seconds. This product was very easy to use and only took a few minutes to use. I am excited to see if this will work as I despise shaving my legs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So excited to try this and see if it will really work! My husband was also excited and wants me to try it on his chest. I whipped it out tonight for the first time to test it on a small area of my leg to make sure I don't have any kind of reaction. I'll tackle the hairy beast I call my husband tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure I was going slow enough when I tried it, the flashes take 1 to 2 seconds between pulses to recharge. So the instructions should really say to go at a snails pace. For the most part there wasn't any pain, but I did feel a bit of a stinging sensation in a couple areas. Other than that, it seems pretty easy to use. One other thing to note is that the front of the box points to three different places on a women's body (face, under arm and forearm), but the instructions clearly say that it is not meant for the face. Last thing I need to mention is that I received this for free from Braun to test out, but I can guarantee that it won't effect my opinion in any way!

Beauty of light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Gillette Venus Silk is an innovative tool. I started my process tonight. It was good to go right out of the box. Instruction were easy to understand. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was it was a little heavy for my hands, but with use I think it will get easier. The great bonus is the ability to use for dual purpose. Can't wait to see the results.

Definitely works for less hair growth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having used Gillette Venus Silk-expert four times over the last month, I have to say there is a significant difference. My hair is at least 50% less on my legs and almost non-existent in my arm pits. I am finding that I think less about needing to shave now. There is still no pain with use, and the wand is as simple to use as before. I am completely sold on this product for reducing hair growth.

Is this real life?

I was seriously thinking of getting laser hair removal in a few places because I am horrible about shaving. I love when winter rolls around and I can hide my hairy areas away for the season and not have to worry about shaving as often. When I was invited to try the Gillette Venus Silk, I was super excited! I didn't even realize a product like this existed and that regular people could purchase it. I'm hoping that it works well because I wear workout capri's for my fitness-related job and it would be amazing to not have to shave as often since I whip my legs out in public almost every day, no matter what the weather is like. My initial reaction was fear. How could this work so well and not hurt? No pain, no gain...right? Wrong! This was not painful at all. I did feel a little warmth, but nothing uncomfortable. It was easy to use but did take a little longer than I expected. I'm sure there is a slight learning curve and it will go quicker when I'm not as frightened of it. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks and hope this is the answer I was searching for and won't have to go to a pro.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little apprehensive about this product as the instructions provided were not so clear.I went ahead waxed my legs and underarms.I tried it on my legs first and didn't feel much pain.I t was easy to use but I couldn't use it much on my underarms as that hurt bad.I left it halfway.May be will give it a try again.I have used it twice on my legs first time didn't hurt at all but second time was a little painful as may be some hair was still there.I tried my best to cover each section on my legs.Would b completing my treatment on my legs first if it gives good results will move on to other parts.I hope it delivers what it promises.

Definitely a learning curve

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried a few spots on my leg, the pain was sharper than a rubber pain snap. It wasn't bad but there was a burning smell, more like new electronic device smell that needs to warm up. The few test patches I did, show some promise but I'm not sure. I tested a few more patches on another leg when I had recently shaved, those results are still pending. Overall, if this curbs hair growth well, definitely worth using on other parts to reduce hair growth.
