Just got this today and I am so excited to try it out.Taking it out of the box and going through the instructions was pretty quick and straightforward.It only took about 5 minutes to have it up and running.The first area I tried was a bit of a suprise with the burning sensation it sends to the area but it is not painful just suprising and as soon as I moved it to the next area and knew what to expect it was no problem.The only complaint I have right away is that it has no on/off switch,instead it just must be unplugged after each use.I have done my test area today and am now in the 24 hour wait.So far so good though and all in all ease of use in very nice,just for me,i would prefer see a on/off switch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this is a 12 week completion product and it hasn't been nearly that long yet. However, I have noticed that the hair on my legs (the only place I have used it so far) seems to be less than before the treatments. (3 thus far) I have not experienced any pain, discomfort or itching. I have not tried this on my arm pits or bikini area. I'm not familiar with this technology and I'm not sure I would use it that close those sensitive areas until I know more. I will be interested to see how long the effects last. If it's 12 weeks to being hair free forever, this thing will be my new bestie!!

Four Weeks to Less Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since it is winter, I was used to going longer periods without shaving because I wasn't showing off my legs that often, so doing this every week was a slight inconvenience in my mind just due to the time of year. I think my view would have been totally different in the summer, so I'm not going to put too much weight on that aspect. I have been using this product for four weeks and it has been a lot easier to use than I first expected and pain free. I do feel some sort of a sensation, but it is far from a pain sensation. I do think I have been seeing less hair in the areas I treated. I believe it is a little soon to tell, but the best way to get great results is to be consistent! I am hoping my legs will be smoother and hair will be less and less noticeable by the time summer rolls around. I guess winter was a good time to try it after all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow... this product is amazing! I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to test the Gillette Venus silk-expert. It has already saved me so much time in the mornings by not having to shave my legs on days I am wearing shorts or a skirt and not having to shave my under arms! I have saved myself about 15 minutes of prep time in the mornings and can use that as extra time to sleep in:)
The Gillete Venus silk-expert is so easy to use once you read the directions and figure it out the first time. I used it about 7 weeks before I really noticed that I did not have to shave at all anymore. I love that you can hold the button down and glide across your legs instead of clicking individually for different areas. The different settings are also a big help. When I first started using it I needed to use the gentle setting until my skin got used to the light and then by the third time i could use the normal setting. I never experienced any reactions or had any problems.

Excellent Product

I received my Braun IPL hair remover kit a few days ago. I was so absolutely excited to open my box! I especially liked the fact that it came along with a facial cleansing brush that I will be trying tonight when I get home. I have to say this was the coolest product I've ever been asked to try because I can't even explain how much I hate shaving. I was a little scared at first mainly of burning myself but everything went great. I prepped my leg and put it on the extra gentle setting just so I could get used to it. I did one leg and I am waiting 24 hrs like the instructions said to make sure I don't get any side effects which I'm happy to say I haven't!!! I am going to do my other leg tonight and try my underarms as well and if all goes well I will do my bikini area as well! I am so fascinated with this so far because this will save me a ton of money in razors and shaving cream.....I'll be bikini perfect by summer!!!! Now I just need a tan! This product is super easy to use as long as you just follow the simple steps. No redness or itchiness and now I can say I'll be happy not to have those annoying little bumps from shaving!

I had read about this device long before I received the product. I knew the principles of how it works but was a little skeptical if it would work for me or not. I thought that maybe since my natural hair color is not necessarily very dark (and my skin is light) it might not work or work well; however, after my third treatment I am seeing a significant reduction in hair growth.

I thought that maybe since my natural hair color is not necessarily very dark (and my skin is light) it might not work or work well; however, after my third treatment I am seeing a significant reduction in hair growth.
I read the directions very thoroughly before I started use (which I recommend highly) so that you know exactly how to place the device on the skin and how to know when it is ready for use. The light display which indicates when the device is in place correctly is easy to see and know that you have it right no matter how the device is positioned.
I started using the device on my underarms and bikini area and am was pleased with the early results. I have done a total of five treatments which are quick and easy, not at all painful. I simply waited until I shaved my skin with my normal razor and, once the skin is dry, I used the device. Being that I don't have thick hair or fast growing body hair I used it weekly for the first three treatments and every couple of weeks for the last two treatments. The treatments became more spread out because the hair growth had slowed down. The fourth and fifth treatments were done to catch those last hairs that were stubborn. I believe they were more stubborn to remove because they were lighter in color and closer to my skin color than the hairs that stopped growing with the earlier treatments. In the end, I am almost hair free under my arms. I believe I can continue with treatments and eventually all of the hair might go away. Regardless if I decide to do this or not, I have very little hair left under my arms which does not show up easily when not shaved for a very long period of time.
The device does heat up when in use but is not painful or uncomfortable in my opinion. It is also easy to hold so that it makes the correct skin contact in order to function. Even in those curvy parts that you would think would be difficult, it is very easy to make the right contact with the skin so that the device can work.
I was concerned that my bikini area might be sensitive so I used the button for sensitive skin on the first use in that area. The second time I used the regular setting and found that it did not cause any real discomfort in this area of my body. On my underarms I immediately used the regular setting and had no issues or discomfort.
I am incredibly happy with the results from this product. I would say users need to realize it is the type of product that will take some time to provide the full promised results and this was very okay with me as I did see results. I am thrilled to not have to shave as much and hope not at all soon.
This product also came with an electric skin exfoliator brush. I did not realize this would be in the product pack and so it was a happy little surprise. I have used these electric skin care brushes before and have had mixed feelings about them. This one works very well when compared to others I have tried in the past. It is a very gentle brush but seems to be pretty effective at removing the dead skin cells on your face and giving a deep clean feeling. I am impressed with this product as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently received the Venus Silk-Expert in the mail, but I wanted to give some initial impressions on my first use. This was very well packaged and I was so excited to get it out of the box and try it (it was pretty easy to get out of the packaging- something that can often be frustrating!)
The Silk-expert is of outstanding quality. It is well designed to be easy and intuitive to use. It fits well in my hand and is easy to apply to areas where I want to use it. The set up was simple and as soon as it was charged, I was ready to try out a test patch (thankfully, all was well) and get started on my first use.
I am so excited to see how well this works! I received this product for free from Braun.

So here's to the next 11 weeks to see how it goes. Hopefully you get used to the pain as it's sort of like a bee sting.
