Hair Be Gone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So excited to try this product! Coming from Italian heritage, I shave my legs 3-4 times per week as the hair comes in thick and dark. If this thing works, it will be a miracle! I am anxiously awaiting the results!
The first time, the set up was easy. I think it took me a little longer to read the manual because I was nervous about messing it up. The first couple of strokes were the roughest. Mostly, because the pulsing light made me jump! Once I got used to that, it was smooth sailing. First time done, can't wait for next week. Are you sure I can't use this more often to get quicker results? LOL!

My first use!!

I used the pulse light tonight for the first time. Tried my underarms first. I have had professional laser hair removal of the bikini line several years ago so I knew what it could feel like. This was definitely a milder version of that but you could tell when it got a hair the sharp/quick pain and burning smell. Don't be afraid that's a good thing it's getting those hair gone! I am so excited to keep using this. Plan on continuing with my underarms then to my legs then to my bikini to grad some new hairs that have grown back over the years. Love this!

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Gilette Venus Silk-expert LHR for about 4 weeks now, it works really well. If you read and follow the instructions it works very good at removing unwanted hair. I have dark brown hair and I am fair skinnned, I didn't have any pain using this on full strength. In my opinion I would prefer using the Venus Silk-expert instead of shaving any day. I use mine once a week while I'm watching TV it is a little time consuming for doing legs but quick for facial use. Absolutely love this product. Smooth as silk

Gillette Venus Silk- Expert is an amazing product. The product packaging was streamlined and super easy to use. I used to work in Spa that offered laser hair removal. So, my first thought was: this this has got to hurt. I remember ladies telling me that laser hair removal feels like a rubber band being shot directly at the area of removal. Much to my surprise the silk Expert was nothing like this. After showering and shaving my legs to a nice smooth finish, I opened the package read the instructions, and started to use the Silk-Expert. I absolutely loved the ease and gliding option on the larger areas that I was using the product on. There was a light warming sensation and a super bright light that followed with every click of the pulsed light. I would defiantly tell someone that plans on doing more sensitive areas such as under arms and bikini areas to make sure they have the product on the more sensitive setting. I love that this can be done in the comfort of your home at a very reasonable cost.

Definitely a cool new toy

I was extremely excited to get my Gillette Venus Silk in yesterday especially since it came with a facial brush. I have to admit I was a bit intimidated by the instruction packet with all of the "do not use if" warnings. Much to my surprise it is extremely easy to use! I love the fact that it has a safety in that it will not work unless pressed against the skin. The directions for use are clear and easy to follow. I still wasn't prepared for the first flash though. I used the lowest setting possible and pressed the button...then flash...a warm sensation that kind of startled me. It didn't hurt, I just wasn't expecting it. There are a few things I don't necessarily like such as you aren't supposed to overlap or do the same area twice but it's very difficult to know where you did already. As a precaution I probably missed spots instead. It also says to turn away when it flashes which is a bit confusing when using the continuous mode since I can't overlap areas. Overall, I love it and can't wait to see some results. Definitely recommend to my friends!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Gillette® Venus® Silk-expert powered by Braun® with state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology for free from Braun in exchange for trying it out and giving my opinion. At first, I was a little intimidated when I sat down and read the instructions. But it's very easy to use. The trick is to go slowly and take your time. I used it on my legs and underarms. I've seen a major reduction in the hair growth. I live in Texas, so I'm almost always in shorts and sleeveless shirts because of the heat and this makes it easier for me and saves me time from having to shave everyday in the shower! Love it!

Great Product

I haven't used this product long enough to be able to speak for the long term effects of it but so far, it has been good. It is very easy to use. It has a bit of a learning curve to be sure you get it against your skin correctly but once you get the hang of it, it is easy. It does not feel too hot on the skin nor do you feel the big zap like the professional lasers. I can see some difference but not enough to say how well it works long term. I am looking forward to using this more so I can see how well it works. I have high hopes for it.

I had my doubts but..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my doubts that this would really work, but it was actually pretty helpful. The device is painless, even though I have sensitive skin. I usually need I shave every 2-3 days on my legs and after using this for 2 months I noticed that I had to shave less often- about every 5-5 days! I never thought this product would work and was definitely pleasantly surprised! I only wish it took less time to see results and that it didn't have to be used on a weekly basis, but I think that is normal for this type of products.
