Not working as expected over several months

I bought in March 2023. Used religiously for about 12 weeks. Seemed to work well at first with minimal discomfort. Hair started growing back in more and I started using again. It seems to be running very hot and makes a pretty good sting now. I had started with bikini area and armpits. My armpits never responded well. Bikini did at first but trying more now does not seem to be and it seems to be not functioning properly. I had such high hopes. I am pretty fair skin, dark hair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

> Check to make sure the epilator is fully charged (if rechargeable) or plugged in properly.
> Hold the epilator at a 90 degree angle as you epilate. This will help the tweezers grab the hair closer to the root.
> Pay attention to how much pressure you're applying. There's no need to apply a lot of pressure.
> Be careful not to epilate too fast. Allow the tweezers time to grab the hairs.

No more painful bikini wax!

Here's a little bit of why I love this soooo much.
* It comes in a case, no missing pieces because it's all contained in the case.
* It comes with 3 different razor heads one head is wide for use on larger body areas like arms, legs and chest. It also comes with two precision heads. Those are ideal for smaller/sensitive areas such as the bikini area or the face.
*It's VERY fast & powerful, flashing every 0.5 seconds meaning we don't have to spend long periods of time to use this.
* This is awesome.... It has a skin sensor that continuously reads your skin tone during the session and automatically adapts the light intensity.
* The Braun silk expert pro 5 has 10 intensity levels and two sensitive modes making this gentle on your skin.
* Best of all is you will have visible results in 4 weeks then every 1-2 months you should do a quick session just to maintain the smooth soft skin we all love.
Those are just a few of the reasons I'm head over heels for this Braun Silk expert Pro 5. I highly recommend everyone grab one for themselves, even the men will love using this. I give this a 100 out of 10 lol.

Effective and basically painless!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, make sure you check out the chart to make sure this device is right for you! I was beyond impressed with the packaging for the device. It comes with a beautiful carrying case. Instructions are extremely user friendly. You plug it in and press any button to turn it on. You hold it up to your skin and the unit won’t work if you don’t have contact on all sides of the head. If you press and hold, it delivers “zaps” one after another so you glide it along the larger are you’re treating. Also the larger head works for this. The smaller head treats smaller areas. For smaller areas you just press once to deliver one single “zap”. Speaking of “zap” it doesn’t really hurt. The longer you use it, you t does tend to heat up and sting a tiny bit, but I wouldn’t describe it as pain. You use it once a week for 12 weeks and then monthly after that. I’m 4 weeks/treatments in on my legs and underarms and can already notice a difference. My hair isn’t growing back as rapidly. I’m also noticing less and thinner hair all together. After only 4 treatments I’m excited to see what it will be like after 12. Definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for effective at home hair removal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this hair removal system does work but you must be diligent and put in the time and use it weekly until your hair growth stops. this kit comes with everything you would need. impressed. Easy to use, no settings to change or switch as the machine decides all that for you. takes the thought out of that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Braun US NEW Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL is a great substitute for hair removal and it works amazingly! I have PCOS so I grow unsightly hair quickly and often! I love that I have access to this from the privacy of my own home and I can use it for whatever body part I want to remove all this hair. I highly recommend folks give this a try. You definitely will be making a great investment.

Noticeable results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had laser hair removal professionally done in the past so I wasn't sure what to expect from an at home product. I was skeptical but after the first use I noticed hair in my deodorant that had fallen out naturally. As described, it should take weeks-months to fully see results (but that's expected of any permanent hair reduction technique) so the wait doesn't bother me. I'm excited and happy with this product!

Goodbye Body Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very fair skin with dark black body hair. I've hated and struggled with it my whole life. I would have to shave at least every other day to keep from looking hairy! I've always wanted to do laser hair removal but it's expensive and not necessarily permanent. When I received the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 I was so excited to try it! I shaved with the included razor that night and did my first session. The Silk Expert Pro 5 has a nice simple design and is easy to use. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My first session on my legs and underarms was fast and basically pain free! I would say you feel a little discomfort (almost like a pinch) but nothing unbearable. After my first session I noticed my hair regrowth was a lot slower then normal. I didn't have to shave again for 4-5 days due to such slow regrowth. I've now used the Braun Silk Expert 5 for 4 sessions and the results are impressive! The hair that is still present on my legs and underarms is patchy and regrowing very slowly! I know that with continued use I will have great results and be hair free!

I am very skeptical but it is a lot better of a machine than the other ones on the market right now. I highly recommend
