It comes in this really cool case, with a bunch of different tips for different body areas, and even comes with a really nice razor for prep before use. The instructions are easy to follow and easy can’t wait to see how well it works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL with multiple caps has a very sleek design. It's light weight for easy use. It comes in an adorable blush case to keep everything packed away neatly. I will say the experience when using the device is strange. It's not painful but there is a bit of a shock feeling when it is pulsing the light. It's bright too. Directions say it takes 4 weeks to show results and then you need maintenance treatments. A good home alternative for hair removal that is more affordable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the at home hair removal IPL you've been waiting for! As a daily shaver, after just 4 weeks using the Braun Silk expert Pro 5 IPL I now only shave once a week in prep for using this IPL, and am about to go to once every 2 weeks already! It's powerful so no lag between flashes, as fast as at the salon! I had high hopes for this IPL but did not expect the results I'm getting after only 4 uses! I strongly suggest reading the full instructions which are easy to follow and included, to get successful results right out of the box. Three different treatment heads are included for the perfect coverage for each area you're removing hair from, as is a razor to prep the treatment area. I can not recommend this Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL enough, seriously this is the one that takes hair removal from the salon to the convenience of your own home.

Good At Home LPL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 is a good quality and reliable home IPL system. This isn’t my first type using a home IPL but I still made sure to do a patch test as recommended. I liked that the SensoAdapt automatically adjusts output power level for skin color/tone. There are useful lights on the side to show you the level being used. There are three settings (standard, sensitive and extra sensitive) but I mostly used standard after a few patch tests. I liked that it recharged relatively fast between flashes so that it didn’t take a long time to finish a session. I have committed to using this mostly on my lower legs and underarms, so I don’t really need all 3 different sized treatment heads. However, I do like that I have the choice to change the size if I want to do a smaller area. I didn’t find the flash to be too bright but I did look away as is recommended when in use. The controls are easy to use and understand.
I found the construction of the machine to be well made. It is easy to hold in my hands and comfortable. The ergonomic shape does mean that it does take up a bit of room. I was surprised by how large the base station was but I do like that the plug on the cord is small and easy to plug into outlets without taking up multiple spots. I don’t think it will be easy to travel with due to the size of the base station and the machine (not impossible though) but I also don’t see myself wanting to use this on vacation and don’t mind using this only at home. The included pink case is really cute and pretty, even if unnecessary and bulky. The divisions inside make it annoying to remove the device since there are three levels with the cord, machine, and base station on separate levels so you have to pull everything out. It is still a nice touch though and makes the whole process feel special.
While this system can be used by a wide range of skin and hair colors, the technology is really only for some and I like that the box and written materials are very clear on this. I do wish they had more information on hair growth cycles and how IPLO technology functions so that consumers have a more realistic understanding of what to expect. Use is not recommended when your skin is tan so these winter months are a great time for me to use this to get ready for the warmer months. It takes 12 weeks to be finished with initial weekly sessions, so I cannot speak to the end result but I am looking forward to seeing what happens.

Fantastic Device!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Braun Silk expert Pro 5 IPL device is a wonderful at home IPL device. I have never done any type of laser treatment or at home IPL treatment so I was really nervous that it would hurt or be complicated. It did not hurt at all.and was super easy to use! I am so excited that this set has the precision heads. I tried the precision head on my face and chin and used the sensitive setting since it was my first time, and it did not hurt. I was able to use the regular setting for subsequent treatments.I’m excited to experience the full results as I continue treating the different areas. Also, as an added bonus, I love the case that comes with the device. Everything has a place and it is a stylish and very functional case to hold the device and the treatment heads. I am so happy with this device and would recommend it to anyone that wants to do IPL treatment at home.

Ugly Black Spots

I give only 2 stars because, after 3 times of using this machine, there are black spots all over the head. I was so excited when I received my order, but now I can't clean the black spots up and they don't go away. I wished Braun would change the head. I'm not sure if I can return this item. It's been only 1 month since I bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
