[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the at home hair removal IPL you've been waiting for! As a daily shaver, after just 4 weeks using the Braun Silk expert Pro 5 IPL I now only shave once a week in prep for using this IPL, and am about to go to once every 2 weeks already! It's powerful so no lag between flashes, as fast as at the salon! I had high hopes for this IPL but did not expect the results I'm getting after only 4 uses! I strongly suggest reading the full instructions which are easy to follow and included, to get successful results right out of the box. Three different treatment heads are included for the perfect coverage for each area you're removing hair from, as is a razor to prep the treatment area. I can not recommend this Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL enough, seriously this is the one that takes hair removal from the salon to the convenience of your own home.

10-20% hair reduction at best

I purchased this in April 2020. I used it as directed and then on and off for over a year. Now in December 2021 80-90% of the hair has grown back. It is patchy and thinner but I still have to shave regularly. I am pretty disappointed with this product and would not recommend it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry you're feeling disappointed. We'd expect you to enjoy great results with our Braun Silk-expert IPL, since they do go through many quality checks. It may be helpful to know that the FDA defines permanent hair reduction as a long-term stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing after a treatment regimen. This reduction isn’t required to encompass 100% of hairs treated, and in clinical trials participants showed on average 44% less hair 6 months after their last treatment and 36% less hair 12 months after their last treatment when compared to hair counts taken before treatment. Easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm purely basing this review off of using the product for the first time and therefore cannot yet comment on the prolonged hair removal effects. Off the bat I really enjoy the packaging of the product and the carrying case is adorable. I like that they include a razor for shaving before use, very convenient! I'll admit I was intimidated to use the product at first but after plugging in it was really easy to use following the directions given. The initial first zaps were a bit of a shock but not uncomfortable or painful by any means. I tried it on one leg(using other as a test comparison), both armpits and with the small attachment on my upper lip and chin area. I didn't change the intensity so it was a little stingy on lips and chin but didn't bother me enough to change it. Really hoping this works long term. Fingers crossed as it was so simple to use and so much cheaper than going somewhere to have permanent hair removal done.

It comes in this really cool case, with a bunch of different tips for different body areas, and even comes with a really nice razor for prep before use. The instructions are easy to follow and easy can’t wait to see how well it works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Silk Expert Pro 5 IPL with multiple caps has a very sleek design. It's light weight for easy use. It comes in an adorable blush case to keep everything packed away neatly. I will say the experience when using the device is strange. It's not painful but there is a bit of a shock feeling when it is pulsing the light. It's bright too. Directions say it takes 4 weeks to show results and then you need maintenance treatments. A good home alternative for hair removal that is more affordable.

Excellent product, would buy again

I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I call this IPL life-changing. While I’m advantaged by having the ideal skin/hair color combination, I had a near immediate reduction in hair growth, saving me hours of time every week. This was a replacement for a much older IPL from a different manufacturer. I figured that the technology must have improved. It has, and I have no regrets about this purchase.
