The only portable 17-inch laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the new 17-inch laptop and it is impressively light and compact. It weighs less than my 15 inch laptop and takes up about the same space. I have taken it on a couple business trips already and it is great: It is easy to carry around, but then when you get to your meeting or hotel, you can pop open a laptop with a huge screen that is easy to view and a large keyboard that is easy for typing.
Pros: ease of use, Features/Settings
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is no lighter 17-inch screen laptop available. As easy to carry around as most 13" laptops. Great screen and wide keyboard.

An already great laptop is now even better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a happy Gram 17 user since the first model was released in 2019. I liked it so much that I switched from a 15" MacBook Pro, and over 10 straight years of being an Apple guy. What won me over to the original Gram was of course its light weight, its beautiful screen, and its upgradeability. But the included M.2 drive and RAM were sluggish, so it did require some aftermarket upgrades, bringing the real cost of ownership up a few hundred dollars. Despite that, I was planning on keeping my 2019 Gram for the foreseeable future, but when the new 2021 models were announced, it forced me to accelerate my plans!
So what makes the new Gram 17 even better than the '19 and '20 models? Here's a list of what I consider to be the most noteworthy upgrades: - Brand new Intel Evo chipset which provides better performance across the board (including WiFi 6, Intel Xe graphics, and blazing fast startup/wake times). - The built-in speakers are night and day better - no distortion at high volumes, and they sound fuller and more balanced. Surprisingly good performance for such small, down-firing speakers. - The included 1TB drive is now a true NVMe M.2 (not just a standard M.2 like on the '19 model) and is markedly faster. - The 10-key numpad has been resized, and now better emulates a normal calculator (especially the 0, Enter, and + buttons). - The touchpad is a little larger and way less "jumpy" than the older ones. - While it only comes with 16GB of fixed (soldered) RAM, it is unbelievably fast, clocking in at 4266Mhz! This is nearly twice the clockspeed of the 2019 RAM. - The webcam is significantly better than the one on the '19 Gram, which was one of that model's big weaknesses. Much better clarity and contrast. - It's a matter of preference, but I think the black color is a nice change!
The price has gone up a little bit because of all the new upgrades, but it's still priced hundreds below a comparable MacBook Pro, and remains one of the best values on the laptop market. I wouldn't recommend the Gram for serious graphics/animation or computing work because of that 16GB RAM limit, but for everyday use as well as work & productivity, it's definitely sufficient, and oh so fast. (FWIW, I had upgraded my 2019 Gram 17 with an extra 32GB of RAM, bringing the total to 40GB, and this 2021 model is still considerably faster when it comes to memory-intensive applications and tasks.)
Overall, I feel that the Gram 17 is the ultimate everyday laptop, and is one of the only machines out there that can successfully convert Mac users over to Windows. It really is that well engineered, that the OS doesn't even matter much. Regardless of your OS preference, you're not going to find a better laptop for the price, guaranteed.

Awesome Look & Feel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Impressive screen with comfortable keys that make me feel high tech. Casts well to my 4K TV too. Really sharp that it is so-ready for a Thunderbolt-4 future and even the USB is faster at 3.2. I called the support and the gentleman was patient and helpful but, in the end, it was me causing my keyboard numlock to be off, and not the PC or software corruption. It was the silly “mouse-keys” button choice on the mouse options that stopped ‘numlock,’ maybe triggered when I set up the new mouse. Numlock was set to off - probably from my protection software install - but now it’s turned and fine. What a relief (no reset needed) - and now it’s, to the moon! I pump the sound to my Bluetooth speaker that has good bass - and it does have DTS:X. My Bluetooth headset sounds good with it. Love it. It feels strong. It’s so light!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using the Gram for almost a month. What a pleasure to use. Very light, easy to transport. My old computer feels so clunky now. Long battery life. The gram has great graphics, fast speeds and I actually enjoy using!
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use, battery, Performance, Quality

Impressive Laptop - Very Poor Documentation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Large but light as a feather! The 17" screen is super bright and vivid. Everything seems to work great at this early date (received 8 days ago). It's a beautiful computer that will replace y big tower computer. Works great with external monitors, too. My big criticism of this particular computer and LG in general is the EXTREMELY POOR documentation provided for the computer. It is near impossible to get details on specification or just how the ports work and their capacities. It almost appears that LG wants to hide as much information about this unit as they can and make the information they do provide as inconvenient as possible. If not for the lack of and poor quality documentation, I would have given this 5 stars.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the fastest and most user friendly laptop that I have ever used! The top item on my list was speed and I have received that even more than I expected. I also really love the finger print log in feature. The long battery life is another feature that is great,
