Discovered there is known anomaly with water filter housing. If you don’t remove the old filter perfectly it causes an inner plastic alignment tab that gets misaligned to accept replacement filter to fully lock in correctly. When I say known it is not mentioned in the owner’s manual but known internet wide. And LG does not make an alignment tool to realign the inner tab back to correct position. There some made by 3rd party filter manufacturers. I discovered best way without buying a tool is to file down tabs on a filter and insert modified filter on to turn inner tab to correct position.

The one complaint we have has been the craft ice maker. It stopped making ice when we switched our Wi-Fi and didn't update it. Once we updated again it started working, but then quit a few weeks later.
Support was awesome and shipped us a new one, which was really easy to install. It has been making craft ice again ever since.
Overall a great refrigerator at a great price.

LG is no longer the brand I can rely on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned our LG LRSDS2706S for a little over 2 years. I am pleased with how much space the refrigerator and freezer offer and it looks nice. That is where the positives end. The craft ice maker stopped working after 10 months. We had it repaired under warranty, and it stopped working again 8 months later. We have not had craft ice since. About 2 weeks ago the regular ice maker began to have issues, so now we are stuck trying to troubleshoot that while taking up space in the freezer with ice trays. Within the first year of owning the refrigerator, one of my children dropped a tub of yogurt and hit the glass shelf that covered the bottom drawer. It shattered everywhere. LG used to be our go to brand, but considering the issues we have had with this refrigerator, and also our two year old LG dryer drum splitting, it seems that it is time to find a new appliance brand. I don't know what happened, but LG is no longer reliable and that's a sad thing to see.

Great Refrigerator

I bought this when my old fridge died. I love the size and the side by side doors. The different ice options are a nice feature. I didn’t think that we would use it but we do. The bigger ice keeps water bottles cold for longer. I am glad we bought this model.

With appliances in short supply, we looked at items that were in stock at local appliance sales points. We settled on the LG LRSDS2706S based on its freezer and refrigerator capacities, side by side configuration, and energy efficiency. It's the first LG refrigerator we've owned. So far it's turned out to be a solid choice. Plenty of room on both sides, ThinQ features supports energy efficiency, in-door water and ice feature works great, and filter location is convenient for installing the water filter - no more lying on the floor to remove/reolace the filter!
Only negative is that doors need to be fully opened in order to open bottom drawers on both the refrigerator and freezer. Even when doors are pushed and held fully open, the bottom drawers barely miss hitting the door and have to be very carefully and slowly pulled out for access.
