Doors won’t shut

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a perfectly responsible adult who lives alone and many times a day I endure the godawful chime of a refrigerator door having been left open, so I know I did it. The stupid doors are designed to stay ajar, and it takes active slamming to shut them. I hate the refrigerator for that reason.

THE NEWEST GUN!!!

My refrigerator is not even 2 years old, it's about 5 months shy of. I have had to have the icemaker part replaced because the ice built up to the icemaker and pushed against the little tray and broke a piece. THEN, the craft icemaker became stuck down in the tray and the tray will not move. IT'S STUCK AGAIN FOR 3 NOTICEABLE DAYS RIGHT NOW! ALSO, now the WATER FILTER will NOT stay in place!!! IT LITERALLY POPS OUT, ONCE PUT IN PLACE AS THE BOOK SUGGESTS HOW TO REPLACE. IT HAS ALMOST PUT MY 11 Y/O NEPHEW'S EYE OUT, ALONG WITH MY BROTHER'S IN LAW, AND NEPHEW'S IN LAW EYES!!! This is insane and dangerous!!! All my nephew was trying to do is get some water. Once you go for water on the outside, the filter pops out and shoots forcefully on the other side! I do mean dangerous!!! The filter is really a thick piece, a plastic bullet!!!

You shouldn’t have had this experience with us. It’s disappointing and upsetting news, but we're thankful that we have the chance to change circumstances for the better. Thank you for your trust, and your willingness to share your experience with us. Because we've had issues with the craft ice balls not ejecting properly LG has released a software update for those units with a craft icemaker. You can also try the following troubleshooting steps showcased in this video

The main thing the software update does is it extends the heater time which now loosens the ice balls from the mold and allows them to drop. Once that happens your icemaker will begin back on its regular cycle of making ice. If these steps don't work, you can always reach back out to us for further assistance. ^Tanisha

Faulty products

I would prefer to give zero stars but thats not an option. This refrigerator i bought is not even two years old and already needed carburetor repair. This is unacceptable, my old fridge lasted 12 years with no repair needed and i replaced it for a newer fridge, your LG. What a mistake that was NEVER again will i buy LG. And i will NOT be recommending you. Faulty products by a name we are supposed to trust. Shame on you.

As a Sr., I almost fall over just to open the door of the lower produce keeper since the handle portion is almost on the floor. Result - I will not use this part of the refrigerator. I had to get a new filter as the craft ice was bitter. Takes too long for new ice to be frozen. I have to use ice trays.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No, I am not happy with it. I am a soda drinker or a pop drinker inside the refrigerator. The shelf is not big enough to hold soda bottle 2 L you can’t put 2 L on the door because they get flat vegetable, but I do buy a lot of pop and I did not think about that. None of my pop can fit in the middle of the refrigerator and I do not put on the doors.
