[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first X1 Carbon I had for 6 years, actually I still do and in working order. I only ordered my next one just because I rely on a working laptop 100% for my small business use as a consultant; based on current delivery times, I might have ordered a bit early but better safe than sorry; I didn't have any issues with the old one. And with my experience with my first X1, of course it was easy to go for the same one again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very solid business machine, nice and light, responsive keyboard, quiet and fast. My only complaint is how the machine goes into sleep mode and doesn’t like to wake up, especially on the docking station. Overall though I am happy for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not want to buy a new computer. I had been using my Lenovo X1 carbon gen 1 since 2013. Although it still works beautifully and has never needed service or repair, I found that new software I wanted to upgrade would not work, so I needed to purchase a new laptop. Since I had such great success with my original X1 laptop, I knew I would choose lenovo again. I saw the X1 carbon gen 9 on your website, so I called lenovo to place my order. I was originally told that it would take over 2 months to get it, which was very disappointed. A couple of days later I went back on the website and an identical laptop was ready to ship. I placed my order on May 20 and got my computer on May 24. I set everything up on May 25 and installed new programs. I love my new laptop, and would recommend this product to anyone. It is worth every cent. By the way, in 2013, the X1 carbon gen 1, with the installation of Windows Office professional and a 3 year extended warranty cost approximately $ 3000 CAD. I feel that I more than got my money's worth for a computer that has lasted almost 10 years so far and is still useable. I am confident the 9th generation of the X1 carbon will also be worth every cent. Lenovo products are made to last.
The laptop is so thin and it performs well! The last Carbon X1 I had lasted me for 7 years without lost of performance so yes you pay for it but it's a good purchase in time.
