[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wasn't my first X1 Carbon purchase. Been buying the Carbon series since Gen 1. This is a hard notebook to beat on performance and cost. I've never had a Lenovo laptop fail on me. Eventually it's just time to upgrade, even though the old one still works. So far, this Gen 9 is working great as expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is light and fast. I like the finger recognition to login and use it with a docking bay in my home office to rock through my work. I multi-task and it has the power and performance I need to get my work done while I listen to Spotify in the background. I really like the weight and the form factor. The keyboard is comfortable, the screen is bright and did I mention how light it is? Nice tech!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently bought this when it was on sale. Read great reviews of it, so expectations were high, and I'm happy to say that this thing has exceeded it. The build quality is excellent, with the carbon fiber reducing weight and giving the machine a really premium feel. Interior is also packed and runs some demanding software with easy. But, more than that, it's all the little things that make this stand out. Camera shutter? no more sticky notes.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is very thin and light to move around. Unfortunately, the laptop is thin enough so you are able to feel the heat from the processor at the top of the keyboard (close to the screen) and the Intel chip doesn't help that (even when optimized). Due to the heat, the laptop is definitely not an M1 chip, so it is still good to carry the charger around if you plan on doing any sort of light gaming or similar workloads which utilizes the CPU or iGPU. I did not see any issues with thermal throttling though and Linux works too (although the current Pop!OS 21.04 does not support the fingerprint sensor for unlocking). For Linux installs, it is recommended to use TLP and its other packages which are specific for ThinkPads which optmizes battery life and reimplements the features in Lenovo Vantage.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great, powerful and portable laptop. I have been using this model for work over the last 4 years and have really liked it. It's able to run a bunch of applications at once and has decent battery power.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like my new laptop but the finger print scanner is such a pain. It doesn't work most of the time and I have to instead put in my password 8/10 times.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful product. Excellent features easy to navigate. Screen size is perfect along with brightness. The keyboard is also very comfortable! A must have for any computer savy individual!
