[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the wisdom of "Don't buy serial #1" applies to the X1 Nano. It is small and lightweight but the performance is lacking even with me purchasing the top-of-the-line with the i7 processor. I have had a number of strange glitches with some but not all working themselves out - keyboard stops working, computer won't start on reboot after update, etc. It's lots of little things that make this a poor computer. The Bluetooth output for example is much too quiet and cannot be corrected. The fingerprint reader is very finicky. I could go on with the design flaws in this machine but it is safe to say you should pick another model until Lenovo gets this refined.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a lightweight laptop with the power to access and edit all of my files when I'm away from the office. This is the perfect machine for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best laptop in the world. Use to be a apple guy had a Macbook Pro 2013, but let me tell you something. I'm pretty sure I won't go back for the reason being for this computer. Small and very light. I have to say its worth the price for a good pc labtop. Going to be using it for work and school.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The right and left click button things should be on the bottom of the mouse pad - otherwise great computer. The color is wonderful and it's fast for the tiny size and weight of the laptop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Below is a short summary of my feedback on the Thinkpad X1 Nano:
Features I appreciate and find useful:
1. Audio is great and is a massive improvement from my Thinkpad X240, lending itself to the positioning of the multiple speakers
2. Screen, bright and great aspect ratio. 2K screen ratio was 1 of 2 reasons why I purchased this laptop
3. Very light to carry around the house or office
04. Camera is great.
--------------------------------------- My dislikes with the laptop/areas of improvement:
1. I keep missing the bump in the middle mouse button. Please make it more pronounced so it's easier to "find." I've spent more than a month with the laptop and I'm still not used to it.
2. No card reader. I work in the government so I often have to use my ID card to authenticate and access certain websites. It's a lot more convenient not having to use a card reader - or worse, a dongle - to use that function. I know it may seem like a step back in design to include a card reader, but please consider this option. I've used the X240 exclusively for more than 5 years, and it's more than just convenience; it feels like a complete package when you don't need a dongle or separate card reader. My suggestion would be to have an OUTWARD-facing card reader.
03. Keyboard is noticeably "clacky." I don't complain about the physical depth, as most people do, but more about the feeling. Typing on the Nano feels more like tapping on marble, and hurts my fingers when I type extensively. To be comfortable, I'm looking for more like a mouse pad, or cork, or even a banana peel feeling. The keyboard is great, but it could be better.
04. Headphone jack should be positioned ahead of the two USB ports. It's just awkward to have the 2 USB cords criss-cross with the headphone jack when plugged in. Honestly, I'd like to know why it was positioned this way. And speaking of positioning....
05. Please include or re-place a USB port on the right side of the laptop, i.e., at least 1 USB port on each side. This makes it more convenient when you're charging from the other side. It avoids damage to the cable and the USB head and the ports itself.
06. Trackpoint drift and stickiness - it's definitely hardware related. I use the trackpoint most of the time (compared to the touchpad), and sometimes I would lose some control when the cursor "drifts" from where I intended to point, and also keeps moving even after lifting my finger. I can replicate this if requested - on this laptop, and in many others. The problem exists in the X240 and the X220 (two laptops I own). --------------------------------------- You requested my feedback, so here it is. Please carefully consider it for the betterment of your product and hopefully my, and many others', financial backing. This feedback may apply to your other laptops/foldables line, so please consider implementing some of the features. Feel free to contact me if you need explanation; I'd be glad to provide specific feedback, but only if you ask.
