Game-Changing Bassinet!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fisher-Price Luminate Bassinet is an excellent bassinet with unique features. Firstly, it was simple to assemble, and the app was easy to install and navigate. The control panel lights up and can be easily understood and select. One element I appreciate is the motion sensor that lights up the bassinet at night when I am close to it. The bedding is soft and the padding can be removed for cleaning. I am very protective of my little one, especially at night, and this product definitely helps to put my mind at ease so I can get some rest. It is so easy. Thanks to the smart sensing system, whenever my baby wakes up and starts to cry, the sensor recognizes it and provides my customize soothing sounds plus vibration until the crying stops! That gives my little one the comfort needed to go back to sleep. Best of all, there are three modes to support the different stages of baby’s growth. Before this bassinet, I was constantly by the crib, cradling to soothe cries and not getting much sleep. BUT no more! A must-have for ALL moms with a newborn!!

Baby sleeps well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the bassinet for my 2 month old. It's a nice height setting the baby in. I like the features the bassinet has to offer. It connects to the Fisher Price app through Bluetooth so there wasn't anything else to hook up to wifi. I could turn the sound and vibrations on and off through my phone. So I could turn it on before setting the baby in without any hassle. The light to check on baby has a soft glow.
At first I thought there would be a problem with the mattress because it was very wrinkled. After smoothing it out, it was nice and completely flat. The cord could be a little longer making it hard finding a good spot to put the bassinet.
The most important part is my baby sleeps well in it.

Solid Little Bassinet for those Little Babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bassinet is great for those sleepy newborns. I love how lightweight it is so I can easily move it around the house and I love that it's not bulky. It is a nice change from the pack'n'play I used with other babies because it is not near as large or awkward. The calming vibrations are a nice add on but one of my favorite features might just be the floor light! It's great to have as a mini night light to help see near the bassinet but it's not so bright that it's sorptive at night. Overall, this a solid unit for the those early times with a new baby.

I love that it has a light that turns on automatically as I'm approaching my baby so I can see her and I also love the music and sounds which helps sooth my baby. I also love the vibration. This was the perfect crib for my little girl and I'm in love!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Bassinet EVER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this bassinet! The vibration with the noise machine combo is exactly what I needed!! Baby wouldnt sleep for ANYTHING unless I hold them. Well, with this bassinet, I can actually sleep a full 3 hours without having to hold baby!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bassinet is amazing! They really have come so for. I love the choices of soothing lullaby music or you can play white noise. I love the vibrations and a soothing glowing night light. I like thats is gender nuetral color. It fits perfectly and doesnt take up too much room. There is a smart sensing system that detects AND responds to your baby's cry. This bassinet is also controllable from your smart phone! Its an awesome bassinet thats also easy to clean.

mostly impressed, could use some minor improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impressions of the luminate bassinet before unboxing was surprised that the company was making an item comparable to another brand bassinet at a literal fraction of the cost. I like the clean and simple appearance and color scheme.
Upon opening the box, I appreciated the minimal parts / short time frame for set up. Parts were easily labeled with corresponding numbers and most of them literally just snapped into place. Only 4 parts needed to be screwed in. This required a Phillips screwdriver. This was the part that secures the bassinet sides upright. One of the four nuts that one of the 4 screws needed to screw into, ended up cross threading. Considering this item is sold at a $280 price point, this was disappointing. It still holds together, however the screw does not screw in completely because of this, and is slightly separated from where it needs to be, I will attach picture of how should look and how it looks.
As far as what’s received for this price point, I feel like they are trying to bring a revolutionary product to those of us in a lower income bracket, which is appreciated considering these new safe sleeping bassinets that help calm a crying baby upon hearing their cries / etc retail for over $1,000. Some things I like about this item are: I like the faux leather at the top of the bassinet. Since this is a high touch spot, it’s nice that it’s a wipeable material instead of mesh that would need to be disassembled and washed. The majority of this item is wipeable and that is appreciated from a mom of 3. I like that the electric cord is hardwired and hidden down the rear leg, this is a nice feature. I think the smart sensing system is nice to help soothe baby in those moments they may not yet need changed or fed, and just startled and need lulled back to sleep. I had set favorite for just vibration, sound and vibration, and louder sound and vibration. Once I default set those, I would just toggle through them in the room from the bed if I needed to, within reach. The vibration is a nice smooth vibration, but our house is hardwood floors on a basement, and the sound of the vibrating bassinet not on a rug is honestly pretty loud and annoying for the minor amount of vibrating it’s doing. It sounds more intense than it feels. I feel like I’ll have to use this on a rug to quiet it down a bit. The height of this bassinet is nice. It’s not super low to the ground like most that break your back. It would only be able to be used for a short time because it’s not very long. I’m not sure if it would be able to be used until baby is sitting up because they might get too long first but I could be wrong, I do have children in high height percentiles so it could be just me. Will attach a picture for reference.
I will say, in my opinion, the construction of this could be made with a little more quality in some areas. Some areas I think could be improved are: a thicker mattress pad. This one just feels thin/ uncomfortable and cheap. It’s also noisy with movement which can be troublesome in those wee hours when your baby is becoming more alert and you’re trying to tip toe around to keep them asleep. I like that the mattress sheet is removable and washable. Small stains wipe off easily with a baby wipe if wiped aggressively which is nice. Then you can remove for regular washing. I do wish it came with a back up sheet, and that they had an option to purchase additional sheets. Any absolutely exhausted mom of a brand new poopy, pukey newborn understands this need. We are tired and have a brand new baby. We aren’t keeping up on laundry and when the baby poops out their diaper in the middle of the night, we don’t want to have to make a makeshift sheet at 4am so they aren’t laying on a cold bare mattress pad. Lastly, I feel like a slightly improved quality of the nuts for the screws could be majorly beneficial. This item needs to be able to withstand being taken apart for a child and reassembled for a future child. If they strip easily on first assembly, the user will be less inclined to keep the item for a future child questioning safety for taking apart, so they may just get rid of it and opt for something else for future kids which isn’t exactly cost effective or environmentally friendly either. I’m just speculating what I’d do, so that’s just an opinion.
App interface: nice option to have to set up preferences, but then after preferences were set up I didn’t find myself reaching for the app hardly ever, just used the buttons on the front. Just easier. But the nice thing is maybe as things were upgraded they could be updated through the app and to the bassinet like sound options, etc? Maybe not. It was super easy to connect to the app. Very quick. Easy to navigate and set up. You can set 2 favorites that you can toggle between on the bassinet and then there’s also 3 different “responses” you can set up to baby cries.
I am working on a review video for my YouTube channel or my Instagram, but it will take time to upload because … mom of 3 under 4 haha. This is my honest opinion after owning the product for two weeks. The reason I’d like to update with my opinion on a different platform after a longer amount of time is because I feel like a couple weeks just isn’t enough for a full review of a product with this many features.
