[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I over seed every year. I have used this product before with good results. It is a sun and shade mix that mixes in with your existing lawn and the result is a durable green carpet. I have two dogs so I will use this every spring to fill in spots left from the winter. Scotts is a trusted name with guaranteed results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very satisfied with Scott's products! This seed has a coating on it which helps nourish the seed through the germination phase! Easy to use, high quality, great results! I'd wear gloves unless you want smurf hands.

Perfect product

I timed my planting just right and now have a fire pit area that is awesome to look at this fall. I put down Scott's topsoil in July and seeded in mid August. I watered and with the cooler temps had a high yield with the seed. May overseed the yard next year to thicken up my lawn.

Nothing happened

I followed the directions, watered everyday and 2 weeks later I still don't have any grass growing. Last year I used Pennington & had great results but I thought Scott's would be better. I'm going back to Pennington.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Topseeded entire yard two weeks ago to fill in patchy areas. Did not wate , just relied on rain. Grass has started coming up just as promised.

I am been using Scotts sun and shade grass seed for over two years to reseed my lawn and I have been getting great results. I always applied the seed at the beginning of the spring and fall. I recommend it.
