Grass seed for all light conditions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix grows equally well in both full sun and dark shade. It is "water smart" in that it jump starts seed growth and keeps seed moist two times longer than regular seed. It is imperative that you water the seed daily and keep the soil wet until the grass is at least two inches high. Also the best way to develop a thick, lush lawn with this seed is to over seed the lawn after the initial seed (grass) reaches two and a half to three inches in height.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix has resulted in a lush, even, barefoot lawn. The product adjust to sun and rain and is quick to recover after a long winter. Once your lawn is established and properly cared for, minimal use is required to cover bare spots.

Works great with correct Prep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some negative reviews of this seed had me nervous but I purchased it anyways. With the right prep, of raking the top 2" of soil loose and some turf builder fertilizer this seed took off! Was a little slow to start but then it came in full, dense and beautiful!
I think those that have just thrown it on the ground with no prep get the results that they put into it.....junk. Anyways if you do it right this grass will grow and grow!

Learned my lesson – stick with Scotts

This Spring I planted a new section of lawn and used a grass seed from another company. I have always used Scotts seed in the past and it has always worked well. This time I thought I would try something new. I planted the “other seed” and it took weeks to germinate and only a small percent of the seeds actually did. I bought a bag of the Scotts Sun and Shade seed and it germinated fully within a few days and already looks great. Lesson learned – I’m going to stick with Scotts.
