Never worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried this product a couple of times and could never get any grass to grow. I tried another brand and the grass grew very good, so it wasn't anything I was doing wrong.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Germination Rate

Our driveway was dug out and redone destoying 3+ feet of grass on either side. I reseeded with Scott's Sun and Shade. Wow! Incredible results!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The seed came up within 5 to 10 days. The true test was the following summer when there was little rain. The driveway is in the full sun all day. The rest of the lawn immediately yellowed. But the Scott's Sun and Shade grass stayed a deep, rich green even with very little watering. I'm slowly reseeding bad sections of my lawn. For the first time I have thick green grass under backyard shade trees. Thanks Scott's Sun and Shade!
Pros: Effective
Cons: pricier than other grass seed (but worth it!)

Growing grass after tree removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removed a very large tree and needed to quickly grow some grass. Brought in some black dirt, raked in some Scott's seed and the grass is growing. Soon we won't have an eye sore in the backyard.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective, scott's products have never failed us!
