Believe it or not, I planted this grass seed in my Pennsylvania yard on December 6,2015 using Scotts starter fertilizer and Scotts Top Soil. It grew.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I planted grass seed-(northeast water smart) on December 6, 2015 using Scotts Starter Fertilizer and Scotts Topsoil in Roscoe, Pa.- Southeastern Pa. Zip-15477. Believe it or not, the grass grew and I have much new grass. Should have sent a picture.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Scotts products for my yard care for many years. It never fails. Last fall I seeded a new section and it grew in well, and came in strong this Spring. I recently planted the seed 2 weeks ago in another newly landscaped section, kept it watered and the new seedlings are popping up.

I spread this over a large area a month ago that was just dirt and weeds. Today I had to mow the lawn!!! Thick and beautiful! Friends and neighbors are shocked that it all came from a bag of seeds.

Always liked Scott's products, till this one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately, this product was not what I would have expected from a Scott's product. The grass came in quickly but was literally 75% one specific weed. Also, the grass didn't make it to season two. A lot of work and money for not much return.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once they start growing, grass seedlings may succumb to environmental factors such as disease, insects, or extremes of temperature and moisture. Our seeds are guaranteed to be 99.9% weed free. Weed seeds are exposed when the soil is turned and will germinate right along with the new seed. Weed seeds may also be introduced to the area through the addition of topsoil or straw.

Sun & Shade mix seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this product to work wonders! The back part of my yard kept losing grass as my neighbors hedges grew taller. I finally chose the sun and shade mix and now my entire yard is nice and green with thick grass.
