Best grass seed in the market buy far!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing comes close!! This is the best grass seed on the market by far!!! Had a sink hole filled in and spread this grass seed with a little straw and it came in like the grass on a super bowl field. I will never even think about using anything else...can't wait to try the other Scotts lawn care products

I use Scotts products, I have for a number of years. I have the most beautiful weed free lawn on my street every year! Follow the 4 step program and you will too ! Do t forget to water during the hot spells !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this specific grass seed in a large area where an above ground pool was. The grass came in nicely & continued to thicken. In the Northeast I was worried that the first winter would set us back, but it held up and came in stronger in year 2. Looks and feel strong and healthy in year 3. Also used it as a spot filler and it germinates well. Great product in my mind - I don't think I'll use anything else ever again.

Never had such bad luck

Purchased 2 bags of Turf Builder Grass Seed. Followed the directions and NOTHING. We have had great weather everyday for the past 11 days. Sun every day, had sprinkler on and watered every day. Nothing not even the slightest sign of germination. The bags says 5-10 days. Well I'm still waiting. I've never had seed take this long in perfect weather.
Now what? Go spend another $54 for grass seed. Then do it all over again. What a pain.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, no good
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry, Robert, that you have experienced problems while using Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix. Generally, we recommend seeding in late spring when temperatures are warm not only during the day, but at night also.
Temperature plays a critical role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees F for northern type turfgrass seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80 degree F. range and not going below 50 degrees F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures.
One major "enemy" of a newly seeded lawn is herbicide. Make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used in the area, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was fast and easy to apply. 1st you put down some Scotts LawnSoil, then sprinkle some Scotts grass seed, and water daily. It takes about 10 days to see the results.
