Nothing grew. Better off shredding the money you spend and putting that down. At least that's green.

We apologize for the lack of results from using our product. Going through the effort of preparing and reseeding an area only to have disappointing results is certainly frustrating. We have sent your comments as well as comments from other reviewers to our Quality Assurance Department to investigate any issues. We also have some seeding tips to offer that have been helpful to some of our consumers.
Watering is critical and keeping the soil moist for the germination phase is required. It's also important for the seeds to be in direct contact with the soil. When overseeding, this may mean having to rake over the seeded area. Soil temperatures should be at least 55 degrees for proper germination and using most herbicides or weed controls can interfere with the new growth.

Excellent Grass seed

I used it for the first time on my lawn and the results are impressive.
I did follow the instructions on the package with good preparation of my lawn prior to seeding. I used the scotts turf builder lawn soil with my grass seed in areas that had no grass (bare spots), together they worked like a charm. I did water my lawn just to keep the soil moist for the most part. never let your seeds dry. KEY IS GOOD WATERING. I even seeded my lawn after applying scotts halt and crabgrass preventer 3 weeks earlier and still got away with it and had some good results (scotts experts will tell you not to seed until after 4 months of using the halt). I also had good temps for the grass to grow (45 F-80 F).
Bottom line .. this is an excellent grass seed. strongly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This past fall late in the season I used the Scotts seed for very shady areas. The bag was leftover from the previous year. I wasn't sure what the results would be but was pleasantly surprised that ti worked so well. I used some starter fertilizer with it.

This product worked extremely quick in patchy ares

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a major water main break that almost destroyed our front lawn. Thankfully your product couldn’t of came at a better time. I had to reseed quite a few ares in our front lawn. Within 7-10 days we had grass again. And as of today, our front lawn is looking great again. Thanks for the free seed. We went out and purchased a larger bag to spot treat our other areas of our yard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY FRONT LAWN TOOK A HIT OVER THE WINTER. A LOT OF BARE SPOTS. I OVER SEEDED WITH THE SUN AND SHADE MIX. THE BARE SPOTS ARE ALMOST ALL GONE. THE LAWN IS LOOKING GREAT. WONDERFUL PRODUCT.
