My wife and I bought a new house and the lawn was in bad shape so I put down some of the amazing grass seed and it is now a beautiful green lawn that we can admire and enjoy for years to come. I will begin my fertilizer treatments this fall so that next spring I have a happy green lawn. Thanks Scotts.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Effective, grows quick with little water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sun and shade mix works really good for several areas, including around the treeline of our yard. It seemed like it took a little longer to sprout than most do, but then it came up all at once and grew fast into a good looking, durable lawn. You get a quality lawn with Scott's.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed

I bought 2 bags of this product. I put the first bag down at the beginning of April and watered. The seeds just sat there. However at the beginning of May, I thought I would try again with the other bag and again after the huge amount of watering nothing has happened with the seeds.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry that you did not get any seed germination from the Turf Builder Sun & Shade Grass Seed Mix. Temperature plays a critical role in seed germination. Soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius) for northern type turf grass seed to germinate (Bluegrass, ryegrass, fescue). This means air temperatures must typically be between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit (15-26 degrees Celsius). An outbreak of lawn disease is another possibility for why the seed failed to germinate. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done.
