We just put these seeds down about 10 days ago and now all we got are weeds.

We are sorry that your Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix did not perform as expected. All of our Scotts seeds are thoroughly cleaned and is 98.9% to 99.9% weed seed free. Natural soil contains thousands of seeds and when soil is disturbed, such as by rototilling, seeds that were deep in the soil may be brought to top of soil where growing conditions are better allowing them to germinate. I am so frustrated and disappointed in this product. We spent two summers and now this spring clearing this area that's about 400 sq ft which the previous owner had made a "garden". We shoveled, raked, sprayed round up multiple times and tilled it twice. We waited to make sure it was clear and then planted grass seed. First bag seemed fine but definitely didn't cover the area it says it will, and the second bag. Total disaster. You can see in the photos how bad it is and that's after spending hours weeding by hand, trying th salvage the time, money, and sweat we put into this. I plan on contacting the company because this is ridiculous. I also know it is from this seed mix because the weeds covering this area and a couple of other spots in my yard, are only in the areas I put this particular product. Please do not waste your money on this garbage.

Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix is super easy to disperse with our seed spreader, and takes under 45-minutes to cover our 3/4-acre property in full. Because we are in NY and have wooded areas in back of our property line, we are always seeking a product that is adaptable and will nourish our lawn despite varying conditions. Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix has done a phenomenal job at giving us healthy looking grass year-round. Our grass is greener than ever after utilizing Scotts lawn products, and we get frequent compliments from neighbors and family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I built a deck and some areas were really torn up. After I cleaned up the bare spots added some soil to level out and Scotts seed a few weeks later its beautiful. I have ALWAYS had good results form Scotts seed and will be a lifetime customer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied the Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Mix a few days after getting it. Followed directions on the package which meant prepping the soil, spreading the seed, and watering twice a day. It has been about two weeks since the seeding mix was applied and the grass is growing. I certainly would use it again.

I put down a loose stone path and planted this seed between the stones. it grew strong and thick. Now this being Austin, Texas, I'm curious to see how it stands up to the summer heat and if it revives in the fall. but so far, it looks really good.
