Most expensive and rarely grows

Second time that i paid extra for this seed and have very little growth after. 2 weeks. Soil is new and well prepped. Automatic sprinklers 1x per day, temp in 70-80 degree range.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful grass sead

I am a new homeowner and would recommend any Scott products to anyone who was looking to maintain, establish and or start from new.

Revived my grass after winter wear

The winter left the grass on the lawn between the street and sidewalk with bare spots. I suspect it was the salt from the snow. With the heavy spring rains that we had it took a couple applications, but one weather warmed up and the rains were not as frequent the seed took immediately and within a short time those bare spots were lush again. I can always count on Scott's!

Don't let the negative reviews from people who cant read directions keep you from using a fantastic product

This is the second yard I have put in with Scotts sun and shade mix. I was hesitant to use this product after reading the reviews but trusted the results that I had in the past and planted about 7500 sf. Of lawn on our new home. I began by tilling and raking the entire area and installed automatic sprinklers. After the entire area was free of rock and debris I spread the seed at the recommended rate with a broadcast spreader. I have kept the area damp as directed and am happy to say that after only six days I am seeing small seedlings everywhere. I am more than pleased with the results and hope this will help some one who is as concerned as I was after reading reviews from people that cannot seem to follow directions.......still a fan of Scotts products after 12 years. Thanks for the soon to be great back yard.

Good Shade Grass Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I had a positive experience with Scotts Shade Grass Seed and would recommend it. My backyard is about 85-90% shade and I didn't expect the grass seed to grow as well as it did. The only small negative was that about 30% of the grass ended up dying after a few months, but that was due to the yard not getting much (if any) sunlight during that time of the year.
Pros: Quality, Effective
