Purchased this product to grow new grass in both sun and shade. Very easy to apply and maintain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We put in a couple of patios last year. I used this product to grow grass in the perimeter around the patios. Some of the areas were in full sun and some were in partial shade. The grass grew quickly in both areas. I used the Scotts topsoil with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix is growing in good but it took over two weeks for it to start growing. Still a few spots that it is just starting to come out. But it is filling in well.

My yard was hit really bad this year with all of the heat and lack of rain. I would estimate that 20% of my front lawn had died off. I thatched my yard and used a slit seeder to replant the damaged part of my lawn. I put down a healthy portion of sun & shade mix and watered twice a day. The one week mark was yesterday and I started to see sprouts in some of the most difficult portions of my lawn. This morning I saw sprouts everywhere in my lawn. All of my worries have been alleviated about my lawn not coming back. thank you Scotts for the great product that you have. Your started fertilizer also helped wake up the remaining parts of my lawn that did not die off during the summer.
