Out of all the areas of my lawn where this seed was planted, only one small spot grass started to grow.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. This particular product usually receives aalot of praise, but it is helpful when we get reviews like yours to help us produce quality product. Heres some ideas and tips to assist you if you want to try again in the future. For Cool Season grasses like Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and different types of Fescues soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate and can take between 4 -21 days to see germination. Warm season grasses like Bermudagrass, Centipede and Zoysia, which germinates in early summer, requires soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees (24 - 32 Celsius) and can take between 5-28 days to see visible germination. Watering also plays a defining factor in germination. We recommend watering 1-2 times a day until germination is visible and then watering 1- 1 ½” per week as needed. Both excessive watering and not enough watering can slow down or even stop germination of the product. Definitely gets the grass growing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to repair some areas where my dog had dug some holes. I just had to apply some new Scott's Lawn Soil with a think layer of this grass seed. New grass started sprouting within in a week! Definitely recommended!

Waste Of Money

Seed failed to germinate despite following package directions. Total waste of time & money. Worthless.

New and improved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked without any special covering like burlap or straw, but the real difference with this new seed is it really is a darker green in color.
It also has my favorite seed in it's mixture which is Creeping Red Fescue

Grass seeds works well

If you prepare the dirt properly and spread the seed evenly. Then water as directed the grass starts coming up in about a week. DON'T CUT IT TOO SHORT THE FIRST TIME... I was happy with the seed and have used it for years.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality
Cons: a bit expensive.

This is the absolute best seed I have ever used in my 50 + years of lawn care. Germinates quickly and completely with minimal watering and no hassle. From now on it's Scotts® Turf Builder® Sun & Shade Mix and nothing else. Fabulous product !!!
