Takes some experimenting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a few bare spots near my front curb so I placed a few bags of soil down after cultivating the ground. I then applied the seed & finished it off with a light salt-hay covering. In about 2-3 weeks most of the bare spots were gone & 6 weeks later you cant tell the difference from where good & bad parts of lawn were.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective
Cons: needed extra items

Great grass Grower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my lawn aerated and seeded by my lawn service provider in the spring of this year. I watered every day for 2 weeks but the lawn only filled in about 70%. I was not happy and obtained a refund on the seeding portion of the service. I paid to have my lawn aerated again this past Fall and put Scott seed down myself. The lawn came back 100%. I had neighbors asking me what I had done to get such a green thick lawn. Two of my neighbors followed my advise and their lawns look great too now.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Quality, it does the job in getting a green thick lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very reliable. I have grass now where I had bare ground all the time. Comes in quickly and filled bare spots in my lawn that I thought would be sparse until next year. I spread the seed in very late fall and was lucky to have cool weather rather than cold. The seed took hold and my lawn looks great. When spring gets here I have a jump start on keeping bare spots and weeds out.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Value, Quality

Would not purchase this grass seed again

After getting a new sprinkler system, amending the soil, we planted Sun and Shade mix. Beginning of october is prime time for us. After 3 weeks, no grass babies. Reseeded end of October, still no grass babies. The broad leaf and weeds started to come up in our nicely watered soil however. Ended up seeding again in March. Finally coming up in patches. Would not recommend it.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For successful germination, temperatures must remain consistently between 60-90 degrees, and the seed must be watered lightly twice a day to stay moist.
