This product have noy workede for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Planted this grass seed in selected parts of our lawn with fresh Miracle Grow dirt 11/18/15 and still has not germinated - not one grass seed has come up. Case # 12247214 reported 12/8/15.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my yard now

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] purchased a home that had no grass in the yard whatsoever 800 square foot of backyard was completely dirt went and bought 2 bags of Scotts Lawn insid and within 6 weeks I had gorgeous green starter grass now my yard is pretty Thank You Scotts

only germinated then disappeared

Our lawn is in Cincinnati, Ohio. Our backyard is North facing and during the summer month many deciduous trees from the neighboring yards shade it for most of the day. That's why I thought a shad mixture would be most appropriate. Very quickly the seeds germinated but then disappeared. Also the chemicals coating the seed are nasty. It's bright blue and smells awful.
Pros: germinated quickly
Cons: Bad Odor, did not grow
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix is a shade tolerant seed but grass will not survive at all if there is less than 4 hours of direct sunlight a day. I used this sun and shade grass seed mix in attempt to cover some bare spots in my yard under trees that get maybe 2 hours of sun in the morning time. After following the directions on the bag it worked as it was advertised. I was happy with my purchase and would recommend to use this product!

After some good old-fashioned aerating, water everyday and see the lawn thickness improve in just days...I recommend Scott's products year-round.
