Quality Grass - Full Coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve bought different brands of grass seed in the past, but Scotts Sun & Shade continues to be the best out there. Whereas some grass seed brands you hope for 50% to grow, with Scotts it always seems to grow effortlessly and fully. I’ve never gotten a stale/dead bag of seed. In my opinion, it is the most effective and fast-growing seed on the market. I’m located in Massachusetts and had great success laying/growing seed in late fall 2020 — even when it was a bit at the fringe of the season (a bit of overseeding and patching spots after irrigation was laid). Avoid the other brands. Grab Scotts seed and don’t look back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grass seed was very easy to spread and use. Filled up patches very well and grew fast. We loved this brand and product. Will use more often to fill patches. This is perfect for small jobs or even big ones.

I bought this a few months ago and put it down, where I recently had very old pine trees removed. Didn’t do much to prep the soil. I’ve just been watering daily and it is working wonderful! Worth the price and quick shipping!

Grass seed full of weeds

We bought several bags of this last fall for our yard. Everywhere we used Scotts grass seed we now have weeds we never had before. The parts of our yard we didnt put the grass seed do not have weeds. We wont buy scotts seed ever again.

Winter Yard Is Perking Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am located in Colorado. After thatching and mowing the front yard after the winter months we applied the seed. We have sprinklers and have watered twice per day and although I can not see new growth our yard looks better than most in our neighborhood. I think in the coming weeks it will really perk back up.

Why don't you just make it cheaper.

Compared to what this used to be, there is hardly any grass seed in it. Nice way to give the consumer less and also pay more.

Don't Buy The PNW Combination Seed/Fertilizer

I have waited 28 days, watering every day to see zero grass germinants. Nothing is growing. I have always had luck with the PNW mix "seed only" product in 7-10 days You must have convinced the big box stores to only carry this combination seed & fert product as neither one had Scotts PNW "seed only" product. Will never use Scott seed again. It's too expensive to be unreliable like this.

This Grass Seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 65-80-degree F range. Weed control used prior to seeding will prevent seed from germinating.
