Ther only seed I wil ever use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is consistent and hardy. Soil quality is key as well as prep. Follow the instructions and you'll be successful. I had the best lawn in the neighborhood and would always receive comments on the color and quality of the grass. Scotts sun/shade is all i have ever used. We just moved into a new home and this spring Scotts sun/shade will be going down as I start the process of improving the yard.
Pros: Effective, Good Directions

The perfect mix of seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a yard full of trees finding a see to use that fills in for both sun a shade is always a challenge for me. Some spots see full sun all the time other are mostly in shade. Spent a lot of years loosing different parts of my lawn depending on the season or lack of rain. Turf Builder® Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix has taken care of that issue. With a good dose of water during the hot season, I have a great lawn all summer long. Not sure it is always needed but I like to do a light over seed in late fall or early spring to make sure all is good.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, Value, reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Highly recommend it! After a construction job where the contractors equipment destroyed our lawn we used Scott's sun & shade mix to seed a large section of lawn and it grew on quickly and thick. Now that new section of lawn looks better than the rest of our lawn. We will be overseeing the remaining lawn with this product in the spring.
Pros: Effective
Cons: a little pricey if you need to cover a large area

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I BOUGHT THE SCOTTS GRASS SEED TO PUT IN MY BACK YARD IN BETWEEN SOME STONES. IT CAME UP VERY FAST AND LOOKS FANTASTIC. I WAS NEVER ABLE TO GROW ANYTHING BECAUSE THE SUN ONLY HITS THE AREA HALF THE YEAR. THIS WAS THE BEST THING TO DO AND IT WORKED BEAUTIFULLY.

I applied this grass seed in April and as soon as this seed was applied, the April rains started and now here in late May my yard is covered with dark grass and no bare spots.
The Scotts' product was applied with a broad cast spreader and my lawn is now the pride of the neighborhood.
After the seed was well into new grass I applied Scotts Turf Builder with halts and what a great thick lawn I now have.

I live in upstate NY. I have always been able to grow grass by following the directions and providing the right conditions. I first applied this product in April with not a single patch of grass growing after three weeks watering. Soil was top soil mixed with soil from surrounding grass. Seeds were lightly raked into soil. Temps were in the "growing" range. Tried again in May and in June to no avail. No new grass in any areas where planted. Just blue seeds resting on the lawn.
I would not recommend this product.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
