This is truly the best grass seed product that I have used.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I maintain and take great pride in my lawn. I had some areas of my lawn this season that was damaged by insects and also had a take out a portion of my lawn due to an accident caused by a neighbor. I use this product due to the fact that a germinates rapidly and fills in the lawn nicely. This is truly the best grass seed that I have used in all the years of maintaining a beautiful lawn. I would recommend this product to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used this product for years, in a yard that is exposed to the sun, but also has a lot of shade trees, especially on the South side. This seed seems very effective and durable.

Great Value for your money

I bought a house with a yard where the previous owner had a tree removed but had not covered the bare spot with lawn.
All I did was spread some Scott Grass Seed & spread some Lawn Food & before I knew it was covered with a good growth.
I am no expert , never work in a yard with lawn but did manage good with it.
Scott products are easy to manage. You just can't go wrong with it.
I now don't trust or woulds even try any other substitutes.
Would recommend it to any & every one.

We hope that as temperatures became more consistent that you had better germination. Temperatures play a critical role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures must be at least 55° F for seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80°F. range and not going below 50°F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low nighttime temperatures. The best time to seed cool season grasses is early to mid-fall.
It's also important not to seed in areas where weed controls have been applied. If a crabgrass preventer was applied in the area, it could prevent germination.

I spread the Scotts turf builder sun and shade mix and my lawn looks like city lawn not country grass. Even the neighbors asked what did you do? You actually have a lawn. Quick grow and very strong and full.
