Ok but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a new fence installed and used the Sun and Shade mix to fill in the areas the grass was taken up. Soil was loose from the install and we watered daily. About 40% of the seeds sprouted, the grass that sprouted was good quality.

If temperatures have been lower than necessary for seed germination, give it more time. The seed is still good and will most likely germinate once temperatures warm up. In the spring it takes a lot of consistent warm temperatures to warm up the soil, especially in the northern states. The warmer the soil, the faster the germination. This generally requires daytime temperatures consistently in the 65+ degrees range.

Inconclusive results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The effectiveness of the seeds are bit inconclusive. I can see some sprouted and some didn't. It is not as think as I hoped for, Need longer to observe to see longevity of the grass. One and half month is bit early for a review when the summer's full heat is not there yet.

I rarely give 5 stars in the first season. Anyone who knows when it comes to quality garden products that enhance your life and well being there is no need to look further than Scotts.

Good seed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is good grass seed that was easy to put down. I love the color of it, it easily seen, and easy to know if a spot was missed. It took no time to put it in my yard where no grass was due to some work that was done and it is starting to grow.

Grew well in sunny yard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product applied smoothly and evenly when used as directed. Newly seeded grass was visible within 10 days and continues to do well. My yard receives mostly sun. I used a Scott’s broadcast spreader to apply and it worked well. No clumping noted.
