Great seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grass already sprouting 11 days after planting. Looks like it will work great in the shaded areas that have been bare for 3 years. Will be nice to have cover there to help stop the erosion from water run off

We have been dealing with a few bare spots around trees, so decided to try this Scotts Turf Builder seed. We are in zone 5b and have had success with this seed in both the sun and the shade. It is easy to put down and seeds fairly quickly. It is a great all around grass seed!

Excellent Grass Seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have approximately 1 acre of grass and primarily use Scotts Northeast Mixture which works great here in NH. However, I do have several large shaded areas around my house and detached garage. Scotts Sun & Shade Mixture works really great in these areas. Germination takes place in about 10 to 15 days, depending on the weather, I water it every other day if it doesn't rain, and the grass comes in thick and looks great. I highly recommend this product for both sunny and shady areas.

Amazing seed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a bag of this on part of my lawn to see if I could tell a difference and the difference was almost immediately noticeable. The part where I used it was lush much more quickly than I thought it would be, and with fewer weeds than the untreated parts. I will definitely be buying more of this in the spring!

Great outcome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently for the first time in 20 years, I had a large section of my lawn chewed up by rabbit activity - the damage was very noticeable. Spreading "Scotts sun and shade mix" filled in all the chewed up rabbit areas turned into a nice outcome.

Excellent grass seed

Scott’s Turf Builders Seed & Sun was the perfect choice. The grass seed has filled in all the bare spots. Lawn is thick green carpet.

Easy to use with results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix to use for our lawn. We live set back in the woods of NH. We have had issues with shaded areas not growing grass and a spot on the lawn where we had a large blow up pool. The mix was easy to spread, I used a handheld spreader to fill in areas that needed some help. It’s been a couple weeks since I added the mix and I’m starting to see grass popping up. We’ve also had alot of rain recently too which has helped. Overall, I would recommend this brand. It’s easy to use and works well.

Easy to spread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure about planting grass seed in the fall and with our hard clay, I'm not sure if it will all germinate. I scratched the surface of the ground and distributed the seed with a handheld spreader, which was easy enough, then watered it well. It rained for the next couple of days but it has been cold and frosty since. I can see a few new blades of grass, but can still see the seed in places. The directions aren't really clear as to planting times for the different zones. I will spread some more in the spring and see if it works better then.
