Not just seed

My husband bought this and applied it all over our lawn. After looking into the water smart coating, I am nearly convinced that it has to be vermiculite. Can you give me some assurance that this doesn't contain asbestos? Has it been tested? I'm freaking out that we've potentially contaminated our yard with asbestos.

Then ingredientsi our "WaterSmart PLUS" coating contains a 3-1-0 fertilizer to help give seedlings a strong start. The fertilizer comes from a combination of porcine bone meal (immediately available) and Isobutylidene diurea (slow-release fertilizer). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great all-purpose seed. I am in zone 5 and consistently get good results with this seed. Fills in quite well and the bag goes a long way for patch repair. Grows well in both sun and shade.

Proud of My Lawn

For years we had weeds as lawn in our backyard. I got tired of looking at my ugly lawn that I couldn't use. I decided to start from scratch. I did my research and used Scotts Sun and Shade and Scotts Turf Builder Starter Lawn. I prepared the soil, put down the seed and starter lawn, and watered, watered, watered. It wasn't until about 3 weeks that I started seeing good growth. Every morning I was excited to go in the backyard and see how much had grown. I did have a lot of patches and threw down another round of seed at about 4 weeks. My husband is very proud of my work. I am a 59 year old woman and did almost all of the work on my own. My family now loves going in our backyard everyday. We now get birds, butterflies, and bees visiting us every day. These pictures were taken at 6 weeks from the day I put down the seed.

Miracle maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our side yard is fenced in for our dogs and we have two large oak trees that don't allow in much sunlight. Due to these factors it is next to impossible to get anything to grow there. Decided to take a chance on the sun and shade seed mix and boy was I ever so glad I did. Within a matter of days we had tiny little grass seedlings sprouting! It's been a month now and the grass is still thriving , I'm very excited about this seed!!

Works in shade as well as the sun

Perfect for our full shade area
