I bought this a month ago and sow it on my new lawn,follow all the instructions after 3 weeks don’t see any germination.

I bought two bags of this grass seed about 6 weeks ago and wanted to have it to be able to help me fill in some weak spots. My schooling is in horticulture so I just didn't throw this out on unprepared soil and expect it to germinate. The only thing I have seen are some very fine fescues (some meaning very few) and that's about it. There are some areas that have done almost nothing. I did have the soil tested and it should have been an easy task to grow. Really sad to me is that I have bought Scott's products for years and never had a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you follow prep ,and babysit with continuous watering during drier conditions and heat , this mix will do its job in providing you new growth and over time a hardy grass. Sun and shade mix I think is ideal for most lawns.

i used the product followed all instructions prepped the yard and watered it per instructions and now the brown grass has come back i will not recommend or use again

Inconsistent results

Bought two bags of sun and shade and followed the instructions and used a Scott’s spreader. The application areas are thin and patchy with large spots of dead seed. Very disappointed as the watering and instructions were followed exactly.

Grass Grew In Some Areas

I put topsoil in many areas throughout my yard. I spread both seed and starter fertilizer down and only about half the areas has grass growing after two weeks. I followed the directions on the bag and didn’t get the results that I expected. I watered the areas nightly. I guess I will wait until the Fall since it is had to get grass to grow in the hot summer months.
