We are sorry that you have experienced problems while using Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun & Shade Mix. For best results, air temperature must typically be between 60 and 80 degrees. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures. Very hot weather will also inhibit seed germination.

Grass Seed - Sun and Shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the Sun and Shade grass seed all the time. It works to help fill in areas that have been hurt by my dogs. I also use it to over seed, once a year, over the entire lawn. I won't use any other product Scotts has always worked for me. Oh yea, I forgot to mention that I grew every blade of grass in my lawn with Scotts Seed.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Value, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whenever I need to overseeed, especially in the Spring I always use Scotts grass seed sun and shade. It's a product that is versatile in that this seed will grow in both sunny and shady areas. Just a reminder, you should not seed if you have recently applied weed and feed fertilizer. My experience is that the grass seed will not grow, you must wait several weeks after applying the fertilizer before using grass seed.

Outstanding grass seed mix

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this grass seed last year to fill bare spots and areas where I removed bushes from my yard. The seed grew better than expected and I will use it again this year. Highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to spread and results are almost immediate or so it seems. Filled in all the holes in my lawn and gave me a thick green turf in my north facing lawn. Very satisfied.
