This year we got city water hooked up and they dug up half of our front yard. Our front yard has alot of spots that are shaded and few sunny spots. We bought Scotts turf builder Sun and shade mix grass seed and it worked awesome! Our lawn actually looks better than before the work..believe it or not! So proud of our lawn and love this product!
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bees using Scotts water saver grass seed for the last couple years. It has been excellent. Uses less water and fills in any area well.
I highly recommend it.

Bad Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Planted this seed 14 days ago. I even used the Scotts Starter Soil as recommended and nothing has sprouted at all. The bag of seed says 5-10 days and I have nothing. A waste of $45.00. From a very unhappy customer.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After suffering from a late summer attack of grubs I purchased Scotts grass seed. By removing the old, destroyed brown grass I added Scotts grass seed and covered it with new soul. By watering each day a brand new crop of deeply green grass had filled each invested section completely by October. Currently these patches are growing and appear to be the healthiest grass anywhere in my lawn. I recommend Scotts grass seed for all your lawn needs.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Effective, grows quickly

Hardly germinated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live on Long Island. I did all the preparation to the soil that was instructed. I watered regularly and I waited several weeks for the grass to sprout a beautiful lawn. The grass that came up died and I had to purchase a different seed from a different company. Sorry Scotts but this product didn't perform to my expectations.

We know it can be frustrating to seed and see poor results. Seed needs consistent moisture and warm soil. Sometimes even when both are present, other environmental factors can inhibit germination.
