Grass looks great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works well in shaded areas. I used this in a area that has a lot of trees and the grass has came in full and green and it used to have bare spots. I highly recommend this product for any area especially shaded areas.

Thick shade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we bought our house, the grass under the shade of the 5 trees in out yard.........wasn't! We used this product with mixed results, but over all acceptable. Under the heaviest shade, we had to reapply to get the results we wanted.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: needed to apply twice in some areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two extra large maple trees in my yard and between the trees sucking up the moisture and blocking the sun I could not get a nice green lawn. So I tried the Scott's Turf Builder Grass Seed Sun and Shade Mix and I have a beautiful lawn that is very thick and sturdy. I had a large cookout and was afraid that it was too soon after a couple of mowings but I had no problems. not a spot was bare and I received many compliments on my yard.Thank you Scott's

Love the grass... takes far more than they recommend

I love the color and depth of the grass. It's plush and our back yard is beautiful with a catch. However, it says a 40lb bag covers 8000sqft from a fresh build. I've used probably 120lbs on my small yard (1200 sqft) over a couple of months and it's still not as thick as you'd expect with that amount of seed. My buddy who I recommended to use this seed has had the same pros and cons. I think just 80% of the seed is bad but the 20% is great.
Pros: Easy to Use, Quality
Cons: takes tons more seed than recommended

Great product for fall seeding!

I used these seeds about 2 weeks ago and within 7 days, I already had grass growing on what used to be just a "rock yard". I put about 4 inches of top soil down, put the seed down and covered with about 1/4" of top soil and watered twice a day through the week.
Pros: Value, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

Germinates fast
