[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I HAVE USED SCOTTS SUN AND SHADE SEEDS ON MY LAWN FOR MANY YEARS. I HAVE A LARGE DOG AND NEED TO OVERSEED EACH YEAR. I GO BACK TO BUY THIS PRODUCT EACH YEAR FOR I HAVE FOUND THAT WHEN WATERED AS RECOMMENDED IT PRODUCES A THICK, GREEN STRONG LAWN.

Almost nothing grew!!

I reseeded 2 areas that were probably a total of 6 square feet. The soil had been replaced with new topsoil as well. We are now going on 6 weeks and I have approximately 10-12 total sprouts. Very disappointed with the results to say the least!

Very unhappy with this product product. After spending a lot $$ prepping and preparing, we have more weeds than grasses.
Cons: Didn't work as expected, more weeds than grass..
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Soil preparation brings weed seeds to the surface. We recommend that you focus on establishing the lawn first, then control the weeds. A healthy, thick lawn will ward off most of the weeds. Use this product often, works wonders on those empty spaces that seem to always populate the lawn,
Just keep watered and let the rest happen by itself.
seeding also keeps the weeds at bay.
Would recommend for all general lawns with heavy use and mix of sun and shade.
