Effective overseeding results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used in overseeding application. Good directions easy to apply an sprouted quickly. Areas filled in quickly lawn looking better the ever going into winter. very happy with the product and would use again.

I'm an experienced lawn gardener. Planted many a lawn. Bought a 7 lb bag of this seed and several bags of Scotts lawn soil to re-do some damaged areas of my lawn. Got close to zero germination after 3 weeks. Followed all directions, got decent temps. Nada.
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It can certainly be frustrating to go through the effort to prepare an are for seeding only to have the seed not germinate. There are a few reasons this may happen. Watering too much or not enough, improper temperatures, inadequate soil contact, or using a weed control prematurely can all influence the germination rates of seed. We have two large breed dogs that every year do a number ( that is both # one and # two) to our lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every spring we have patches of dead lawn to repair. I have tried other cheaper brands but have had the most success with Scotts brand Gtass seed. The space consists of both full sun and heavy shade and the blades pop up in both spaces.

It's okay

I planned the seed in the spring and saw some glass came out. But they were kind of spread out even though I used the recommended amount and even used the Scott Turb builder soil.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Directions
Cons: Didn't work as expected

This is a great product at a great price. The seed started germinating very quickly and filled in an area where no grass would grow due to the clay based soil. I did thrown some of the Scott's lawn sole prior and this may have helped. I am more than satisfied with this product.
