I purchased this product a few months ago and used it where I had no grass and it worked really well. The price was also very reasonable.

We certainly apologize for the trouble you've had with our Sun and Shade Grass Seed. This is not the result we want you to expect from our seed, and as you know from experience with our brand, is not typical of our products. Temperatures are very important when it comes to seeding. In your area, we don't recommend seeding past September 15th. Also, if any weed control products were applied to your lawn before or after seeding, those may also impact germination.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Scott's turf builder and it was great! Prettiest green grass and no weeds. I was amazed and still am. Wished I could get it all the time, makes the biggest difference in a beautiful yard using this product.

GREAT RESULTS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had runoff from a weed/grass killer that I used next to a sidewalk last fall that killed more than I expected. I wanted to reseed this area, and used the Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed, Sun and Shade Mix this spring, and with GREAT results! I did very little prep other than raking the surface lightly before spreading the seed! No additional watering other than the spring rains and I was very pleased with how this filled in! No straw, no cover at all and almost completely repaired in less than 1 1/2 months, and still coming up. I would highly recommend this product!

Very disappointing; Did not grow grass at all; Not worth effort or cost!

I put the seed down with Scott's Edgeguard, using the recommended settings. Used the seed for all my bald spots in lawn which were cleared of debris and scored. Seed was sown in mid September w/ mild temps and watered. Not one single seed sprouted. A total waste of time, money and effort.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Didn't work as expected, still sitting on bare spots ungerminated!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
