Works for me!

I bought this product to fill in some bare spots in sunny areas in our Stockton, CA, yard. I don't think it's meant for that, but it did a great job. We have adobe clay here, so it's very difficulty to work up the ground, especially since the original lawn was sod. But a little effort, some good starter fertilizer, and a bit of good topsoil did wonders! You have to keep it moist, especially in 90+ºF weather (I planted too late), but the spots are filling in nicely. I recommend this product. It's more expensive than some, but the results are worth it.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Directions, Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our winter has been hanging on but I decided to spread some seed and cover it with Scott's top soil. I didn't expect to see much new growth until the weather got much warmer but I was surprised to see several new blades of grass popping through the soil.
My bare spots aren't so bare now.
Thank you Scotts!
Pros: Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this stuff; well, I really haven't eaten it! No, it is a great product. I thought it was bull-pucky when they call it shade mix, but my grass in the shade really thrives and I've done nothing different to it except use this seed.
Pros: Value, Quality, Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I removed two large trees and seeded with Scotts Turf Builder Sun & Shade Mix. Simply spread and fertilized - the results were fantastic! Grass sprouted up very quickly and quickly blended with the rest of my yard. Very pleased with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a 20 by 20 foot area covered by mulch and wanted to convert to a lawn. Tilled the dirt and laid the seed with starter fertilizer. After a few weeks of watering, the seeds produced a lush, thick green lawn with very few weeds. Even neighbor commented how nice it looks.
Pros: Effective, Quality
