I love Scotts products. The seeds I used to patch my lawn have an excellent result. I really recommend Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed - Sun & Shade Mix.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i putthe seeds in october and followed the instructions in watering and aerating the area.we had a bad drought but the seed did not come well as expected.i need to putt grass seeds again in the same area.

New home; new lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We built a new home on farm land. So when our water line was dug, it was quite a distance from the road to the house. The area of dirt was about 6' x 30' area. I used Scotts Grass Seed Turf Builder for Sun & Shade. We didn't have a water faucet on the front of the house so I had to carry buckets of water around from the back. Needless to say, I was concerned that the seed wouldn't take because I couldn't water as much as I would have liked. After covering the area with straw to help keep the moisture on the seeded area, I waited to see how well the seed would work. It wasn't but about seven days that I noticed small green sprouts starting to rise. After watering and checking on the seeded area throughout the next several weeks, we had a beautiful patch of new grass. It has since grown in and you can't tell that it hadn't been there all along. I was very pleased with the Scotts product; it has lived up to its promise--"staying green even in extreme conditions of dense shade or scorching sun.

Lots of bare dirt....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ...in my back yard due to an overabundance of shade. After removing all of the scrap tress and overgrown shrubs, I had a lot of empty dirt to fill. As usual, Scotts does not disappoint. All you need to do is follow the instructions, be liberal in your watering, and you'll have seedlings quickly. Good job Scotts.

Want a lush green lawn? Use THIS!

When we moved into our house the yard was ok looking. The following Spring however, weeds started taking over. So, I bought some Scott's brand grass seed and applied with a spreader. With very little effort the grass greened up nicely and after using Weed B Gon the weeds died out. Leaving my yard very lush and green! Going forward and using the Scott's website for guidance I now have a lawn program that keeps my yard looking it's best.

Excellent product for mixed areas

My lawn area is a mix of sun and shade areas, changing throughout the day. This product provides fast greening with dense turf, blending well in areas that were previously patchy.
For the small grassy area in front of my home, the package makes application portable and easy.
