I used the Scotts Turf Builder Grass seed Sun and Shade Mix to fill in the holes left by my dogs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product worked great. For dead urine spots, I used a little landscape rake and scratched the surface of dead grass. I applied the seed and watered 2 X per day with a gentle sprinkle. In less than 2 weeks the grass was beginning to make the holes disappear. I also used it where my dogs had dug holes. I had to re-fill the holes with dirt, seed, rake it in slightly and follow the same watering process, with the same excellent results.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Michigan and we have had a crazy wet spring. I applied the Scott’s as overseed. I used a Scott’s hand seeder and everything was really easy. Unfortunately, 10 days after I applied we got 24 hours of continual rain. Other than bad timing on my part, I would highly recommend this product. I will use it again, if needed.

No results what so ever from the turf builder...cost too much to not work, is it too late to get my money back????

This particular product usually has a lot of success stories from users, but it is helpful when we get reviews like yours to help us produce quality product. For Cool Season grasses like Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and different types of Fescues soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate and can take between 4 -21 days to see germination. Warm season grasses like Bermudagrass, Centipede and Zoysia, which germinates in early summer, requires soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees (24 - 32 Celsius) and can take between 5-28 days to see visible germination. Watering also plays a defining factor in germination. We recommend watering 1-2 times a day until germination is visible and then watering 1- 1 ½” per week as needed. Both excessive watering and not enough watering can slow down or even stop germination of the product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product worked wonderfully. Our front yard is always in the sun and our backyard is almost always in the shade. With this one bag we had all of our bare spots filled and now have thick dark green grass in the front and the back yards.

This product grew grass in my trouble spots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product grew grass in my shady and sunny lawn spots. It is better in shady. My soil is poor despite all types of nutrients. This product grew grass a little but not lush over new top soil. I am happy, I did not expect more.
