Doesn't Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased a couple of small bags of this seed but rarely do I ever get any grass to grow despite followings the instructions. It was a waste of money.
Pros: none
Cons: Didn't work as expected
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry the seed hasn't germinated as expected. Water is an important factor in successful seeding. The newly seeded areas must be kept constantly moist for weeks on end. Allowing the soil to dry out even for an hour during the critical germination phase can result in seedling death. Seeds must come into direct contact with the soil in order to germinate. Our Research Department has told us that if seed is laid on top of old grass, you will have about a 2% germination rate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our backyard has many large trees. Due to lack of sunlight, growing grass in back has been practically impossible. There were huge unsightly bald spots everywhere. I pretty much gave up trying. I came across this product and decided to try it. I have confidence in Scotts and their guarantee is great. Within a few weeks the bald spots started to diminish and the backyard is looking healthier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My yard was torn up this winter by the plow truck and I have used Scotts seed before with great results. So here I am with my lawn all a mess and I will be buying this grass seed again. Turf Builder is the one to get.

I purchased this product, the heat tolerant bluegrass & the high traffic seed. I don't think any of them sprouted. They had new soil/loam put down and then were covered with peat moss. I watered twice a day for three weeks and saw nothing.
I scraped some of the peat moss away and the seed looked like it had just come out of the bag.
Very disappointed with this seed. I spent over $100 on seed alone.
