I'm not impressed with the growth of this product in the shade. I put it all over my lawn but it didn't grow very well near my tree which is part sun/shade.

Well I live in NJ. Since the product recommendations are spring and fall I tried fall. I prepped the soil by raking all loose dead grass in thin areas. I then spread out the seed/fertilizer over the area. Unfortunately the grass did not start growing right away and what little did I’m not sure it will hold up to winter. I think spring might be better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I removed a tree in my backyard. I was able to remove the complete stump without and power equipment. I filled the hole with clay based soil and toped it with Scotts Top Soil (red bag).. I applied Scotts Starter fertilizer and Thick R Lawn seeds and covered with more Scotts Top Soil. The grass started growing within 2 weeks. I added more top soil and you can not tell their was a tree on the spot. Excellent.

Roundup crabgrass killer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received my product late which was due to damage from shipper. When I notified Scott’s they were very professional in reshipping my item. I’m very excited to try it when I noticed it kills crabgrass but not my Tall Fescue grass or any other regular grass types. Roundup has always been the leading weed killer.

I used the product and it produced weeds. I was very disappointed. I researched multiple seed to try to build a thick lawn but this product grew weeds.

It works my lawn is really thick and greener I can’t believe it no more bare spots. Very little watering just liquid sunshine. I definitely use again.
