I got lucky - put the grass seed down just as we finally got sone much needed rain! The cool weather is helping, too. I expect to be able to cut the new grass in another 2-3 weeks.
I live in Missouri and have Fescue. I might have overseeded with the Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® Sun & Shade too late in the Fall. We had a dog days summer that went into mid-September, so I decided to wait until October to seed, then weekends slipped away and early October turned into late October. We have had some good soaking rains since I seeded, so fingers crossed I see some sprouts popping soon.

Better than I ever thought possible

I live in a condo development where they hired a landscaping company to mow and treat my lawn. Not happy with the results, I decided to treat the lawn myself last spring in early April using Thick R Lawn. Not bragging but my lawn was clearly the best looking and healthiest lawn in our development. Be careful not to over spread and apply just before or after a gentle rain.

It Looks Like a New Yard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our yard was an embarrassment before ... mostly bare spots of dirt, with sparse clumps of grass here and there, and plenty of bare spots for weeds to grow. A month after laying down this product, our yard is lush and dense, with no bare spots at all, and far fewer weeds trying to grow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Thick R Lawn Sun and Shade grass seed awhile ago. It’s grass seed mixed with fertilizer and soil improver. I spread it out by hand in my front lawn, where it doesn’t get a lot of sunlight ( because of the pine trees). I followed the directions, and watered it as needed. After a few days I had little baby grass showing. A couple of weeks later most of the bare spots in my front lawn were filled in. I am very happy the way my lawn looks now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thick'R Lawn works great. To combine the seed with fertilizer and conditioner makes so much sense, I wonder why it hasn't been done sooner. Follow the instructions to the letter, and your bare spots will disappear and the rest of your lawn will return to it plush, barefoot ready state. Nice job Scotts.
Pros: Easy to Use, Effective, Good Directions, Quality, Value
