I bought this over a month ago applied at three times in the front yard alone and it still has barely grown. Water a couple times a day or as needed.

We are sorry to hear of the issues you encountered with Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade. The best temperatures for this grass seed are when consistently in the 65-80 degree F range for germination. Cold weather does not hurt the seed, but will delay germination. If you are still unhappy with the product, you can reach us at https://tinyurl.com/y8nvfsca to discuss our product guarantee.

Weeds everywhere

I did a total kill of my front lawn. Used this product to get my new lawn started. My yard is full of weeds along with grass. I have a green lawn from a distant, but a weedy lawn up close.

Poor results

I bought Scotts Shade and Sun 2 bags, 1 bag Kentucky bluegrass, 1 brown container the with pour spreader. Spread them on the bare spots in the back yard a week ago. None of the seed produced a blade of grass. Love your 4 step fertilizer though, and maybe you should stick to that. I'm going back to coop and get their advise on an alternative.

Didn't See Results

I bought this product two weeks ago. Did everything they said. No big difference. Dry spots, bare spots, etc. I thought I would see if it would improve it. Maybe a tad. I knew I would be taking my chances, like with anything. Trial and error. It appeared this product would do wonders. Guess not. On to next thing?

Too long to germinate
on June 11, 2020
Posted by: Waiting Too Long
from Ohio
This product was applied 2 weeks ago according to directions but nothing is growing yet. How long does it normally take?
Response from ScottsBy Agent, Consumer Services , July 17, 2020
We are sorry to hear that Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn did not germinate as expected. This seed mix is a combination of bluegrass, ryegrass, and fescue. While the ryegrass and fescue should germinate in 2 weeks, it could take 28 days for the bluegrass to come up. Temperature falling below 60 degrees can slow or even halt germination. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience, please contact us and refer to your review to see what can be done. We can be reached at http://tinyurl.com/mds8zo5.
