[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whether it is a patch product or this thicker lawn product...you can't just throw it down. You need to rough the soil up a bit to guarantee good soil contact. This product is not magical.....you do need to do some prep work. If you are willing to do so...this product helps guarantee that your work will be rewarded!
Pros: Effective, Good Directions, Quality
Cons: you still need to work the ground for best result

Great for Filling in Bare Spots & Fertilizing the Rest of the Lawn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After prepping the soil, we applied this to a lawn that included a high traffic area with bare spots. Within 8 days after applying Thick'R Lawn, new growth is coming in those areas.
The rest of lawn is looking healthy and green.

This product helped grass grow in poor soil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After numerous attempts to grow grass in two areas I used Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn. The grass began slowly and grew into a thick cover in about a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently applied ThickeR lawn to a very troublesome. spot in my back yard .I prepared the area and when I opened the bag (which dad a reclosable feature very convenient) I was amazed at all the seed and fertilizer and soil conditioner. Very easy to apply and after about 6 days I'm starting top see some results. The product seems to go as long way and I think its worth the price.

Get full, lush lawn quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts Turf Builder Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade turns thin lawns into full, lush lawns. It contains three key ingredients, (grass seed, fertilizer and soil improver) which enable weak lawns to become fuller, greener lawns in about three weeks. Thick'R Lawn Sun & Shade should be applied with a spreader and watered in for a minimum of two weeks. Keeping the product moist for at least two weeks is imperative to achieving the desired thick, lush lawn.

3 in 1 product saves money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to always purchase seeds, fertilizer, and sand/manure to plant new grass seeds. This 3 in 1 product simplified the process for any size area. I applied the 3 in 1 in late August and saw new growth by the end of September. You just have to remember to water and keep the area moist.
