Unbelievable results--I did not prep the lawn. My lawn was thin with some type of virus (throughout the neighborhood). I purchased two of the 40 lb. bags as I wanted to overseed. I did use the spring pre-emergence in late March. Got great color; then seeded the 3-in-1 mid-April. With spring rains, the grass just bloomed. It is so pretty you hate to cut it. By the time we cut it (after dodging rain), the cut blades were 5" - 6" long. Took a while to finish the front and back as the grass was still damp. Total of 11 FULL bags of cut grass when done from a city lot. I can't wait to see how well it holds-up through the summer months. I will overseed again in the fall. Thx, Scotts !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used Scotts Thick"R Lawn on my backyard grass which had some thinning grass areas. Easy to apply with a lawn spreader. Coverage was excellent and the positive results are quite noticeable. Loved the time saving one step process with fertilizer and seed and soil improver all in one application. Great product and my yard grass is looking a whole lot healthier. Very effective product!

As is usual from Scott's, an excellent product. I bought the 12 pound bag. Good application instructions and handy, closeable bag. Except for the bottom seam on the bag opening on its own and loss of some material, no issues. Will use again in the fall.

Cons: packaging failure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just spread this product on the back portion of our lawn a week ago. Had some rain and did some watering also. It has been very hot here in Chicago for this time of year, May. We had some thinning of the lawn in the back so that is where I applied it. Has shown some improvement so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thick R Lawn does a great job filling in those pesky thin areas around trees and heat damaged areas. You can use your spreader to distribute the product, but you do need to perform some pre-work to make the areas clean of debris, thatch and loosen the soil layer. Not difficult, but does require a little sweat equity. After following the directions you will need to water often and wait a couple of weeks before observing growth progress. Attached is a before and after picture of the same area. I would apply this product in the fall for best results as less watering will be needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thick'R Lawn is just as advertised. I have used this in two problem areas of my lawn and it has worked very well. The grass quickly greened and has begun thickening in just four weeks.

THICKER LAWN IN 30 DAYS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I applied this product about 30 days ago, to some of the thin areas of my lawn. I followed the directions and apply the product, and presto 30 days later my lawn looks 100% thicker than it was before. This is a new product, that I have not seen before in the stores. I feel it’s definitely worth it, because it has fertilizer and mulch inside of the same bag. I will definitely purchase This again when I need it.
